Is anyone else upset with themselves that they did not take a risk on bitcoin?

I didn’t know what it was when it was worth almost nothing, but even when it was in the low hundreds, or just in late 22 when it was in the 16 K range, it would’ve been a big gamble, but if you had to ask me do, I think it would go up or down? I would’ve said up. It’s just frustrating to know that if I made one big bet like this, it would’ve paid off so handsomely that I could’ve just put my money into safe investments and I would’ve been set forever.

I'd heard about it even played about it a bit in 2017/18 after it dropped to about 10k and left the few hundred in ripple I then lost assess to... that's worth two or three thousand now

I know people who made money from it like my friend in exotic rentals and the both chefs in the restaurant bought 1 each and another for their daughters but they bought them cold from their weed dealer


Best story is a guy I went to school with put his university fund into it at a few hundred... now has no university debt nor does his wife, paid for the wedding, paid off house, car each on the drive, a trust for their daughter and a chunk in his corporate pension

yeah that sounds sketchy. I’m talking about buying bitcoin off of Robin Hood or something legit. The thing is that I’m not gonna touch it at this price point. Maybe one day it’ll be worth $1 million but in my head that ship sailed. But it’s a big regret of mine. Because I know taking that one crazy risk would’ve set me up for life.

You can say the same thing about gold which has been rising steadily. 20/20 hindsight buys you nothing.

Exactly I have a gold ring I bought in 2016 for about £500, I recall a fellow dealer upon seeing it and hearing the number saying you'll never get a return on that... today it's worth a shade under £800 in scrap

no, one of my students used to tell me how much Bitcoin was going to take off. I know he bought some and I told him not to go too crazy. I do not knoe how it all ended up with him.
