10 moI think they see all humanity as equal and are trained or choose to be part of a whole, not individuals. the other side tends to be more independent minded... like business entreprenureal.
It can get disheartening to see many with so much and some people with nothing. Our system rewards those that are successful, hard working, and skills... kinda like nature. Some people don't like nature and want equality and fairness. Thus, they favor the govt to be equalizer and in fact may not even favor govt at all, unless it does their bidding.
So there is a push and pull within that system of feeling and thinking.

whom is earning it?
When you get a lot of wealth, you just have to collect the $, the odds are stacked in favor of them. like you have to be an accredited investor to make certain investments... e. g $1 mill to invest, access to the best management companies. - 10 mo
not nice, -1 point.
- 10 mo
False. I know people that did nothing and had $ handed to them. ok, someone else did the work fair enough. but once they have it, they sit back. That all works fine until you get huge disproptions in wealth. This is the fuel for revolutions, mass murders (Huti/Tutsi's), farmers lighting themselves on fire. It's why democrats want to re-distribute via power of govt.
thanks for the superb opinion.

No, I'll tell ya! Its jealousy and greed!! Those revolting are not good guys they're the bad ones. Robin Hood is a fictional story. There is nobody robbing and giving from either side. Are you going to sit in judgment on those who have worked or inherited vast amounts of money? I'd LOVE to be wealthy and if I were i wouldn't let ANYBODY take it from me! Would you?
- 10 mo
yes jealousy sounds right as emotion, not sure about greed but that's our society. definitely different thinking. that leads to other feelings... like dismay.
anything can become justified...

10 moAbsobuttfuckinglutely!!! Like this woman, I'm still a democrat but, there's 2 or 3 things of republican stance that I don't support. BUT, I'm NOT the kind of democrat you see on the news all the time!!! Those people are FUCKING CRAZY!!! I probably SHOULD switch to republican but the fact that I'm democrat and still vote republican at least proves that I don't vote party!!! As I've said for years, you're NOT supposed to vote PARTY OR what colour their skin is OR what they've got dangling between their legs!!! You're SUPPOSED to vote according to WHO YOU THINK IS GONNA DO A BETTER JOB!!! WHO'S GONNA MAKE THE COUNTRY AND, CONSEUENTLY, YOUR LIFE, BETTER!! You're SUPPOSED to vote for the best person for the job!!! This is NOT a popularity contest or a who's got the cutest bathing suit contest!!! YOU'RE on the board of directors for a HUGE corporation and you're being asked to choose who you think is the best hire for the company!!!

3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Major problem of political polarization is that people who support trans rights aren't allowed have desire to deport illegals in spirit of the liberal ideology.
It's like with PayTV. When you like discovery channel you don't get it without shitty TV series channels. It's always in a packet. This isn't different with political ideologies and agendas.
I think this is the first step to reduce negative emotions and internal conflicts caused by political polarization. However I'm pretty sure Mainstream media and politician aren't interested in ideological cherry picking of the pleb.10 Reply

10 moJust look at the name Democrat...
De mo power they have, the more they want.
Contrast that with Republican, wanting what's best for the country.
Look also at their mascots...

The Democrat's mascot, the weak and stupid donkey that lives alone...

... compared to the Republican's strong and majestic elephant that lives in family groups.

26.4K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. democrats just want power. They are willing to ruin the country just so they can get back in power.
Whatever President trump does they want to do the opposite no matter how messed up it is.

I'll give you a hint: it's not supporting the rape of your country by billionaires and cheering on the destruction of the constitution.

04 Reply- 10 mo
people who took our country was safe and our economy was "booming" these past four years while we were stuck with a president who let our border open, printed out money like crazy, wasted 1.9 trillions on a useless vaccine that killed more poeple than the virus it was met to treat and then decides to send the rest of our 200 Billions of hard earned tax money overseas to a war that had nothing to do with us are in no position to call anyone "ignorant and gullible"

10 moPatriotism is stupid. You could have been born in almost any other country in the world and you would be saying the same shit about that country that you to about America.

10 moDefine patriotic

🇺🇲 When you speak, think, or talk about her you don't cringe but feel a sense of gratitude. You don't burn Old Glory you salute her. You don't go to other countries and side with the stupid ass haters but defend all that this country was built on. Being an amateur history buff I know enough of the big wars to understand the sacrifices laid down by true patriotic Americans. Some as young as 15. If for no other reason I say they're plenty good enough reason to want to see America go forward as she is intended to be. 🫡✝️🇺🇲
- 10 mo
"America go forward"
Except that "going forward" is subjective here. I'm certain many US citizens would say yes if you asked them if they wanted US to go forward. But when they would be asked how... Then dissent would become very visible lol - 10 mo
Little of that is patriotism but it is nationalism
- 10 mo
Here is a theoretical duel of definitions:
Patriotism would be identified with love for one’s country, an “open” conception of the homeland, and a selfless desire to serve and promote it.
Nationalism, would be "closed", an aggressive doctrine, an exaggerated love of one’s country that can degenerate into imperialism, a desire to exclude foreigners within, and to dominate enemies without. Reviled as one of the main causes of the conflicts that bloodied Europe in the 20th century.
- 10 mo
Then good luck de-associating, de-aligning lol, because the side you chose is associated with nationalism
- 10 mo
Ah, yes, the "once beautiful countries of Europe", pretty postcards of the past have been sent to you I suppose. I'd trust more the billions of letters sent that you didn't look at, they are talking much more about the reality, as experienced by the people. But well, it's very time consuming to do so, I think you don't have enough time left for this challenging activity.
New layers of life are constantly dropped onto the old layers of death.
C'est la vie ! - 10 mo
No, no la vie! I've received no postcards, none, and watched on TV the scenic beauty of rolling hills and quaint countryside with Rick on PBS. I saw in 2014 the invasion of the gullible by wave after wave of gimme, gimme, gimme a dime after midnight. Alas, no pretty culture-filled Europa anymore.
