Identities exist whether you acknowledge them or not. If white people were rounding up and hanging black people en masse, and no one talked about it, would it not still be an injustice?
Fortunately we don't live in a society where lynching happens any more, but we still live in a society with injustice. America has a legacy of racism that it hasn't overcome yet. Segregation was not that long ago. South Carolina's schools were desegregated in 1963. The students in those schools then are baby boomers today, and most of them are alive and well. Do you think the racism they displayed as kids has disappeared as adults?

We can stop talking about identities as soon as people stop discriminating based on identities. Once upon a time, America discriminated heavily against Irish and Catholics; now it doesn't, and we don't talk about it anymore, because the injustice has stopped for them. Once the injustice has stopped for everyone, we can move on.

It is not Democrats who is tearing their party into pieces or trying to overthrow democracy by invading the capitol because they lost an election. That said, I feel that many people misunderstand unity. Unity does not mean that everyone have to be the same, dress the same, speak the same and do the same. Unity is completely compatible with diversity of identities and ideas and in fact thrives on it. Few things brings people together as sharing different cultures does and on the plus side, it also makes good food like pizza.
Democrats will talk a great game, but what they do is the complete opposite. That has always been their game. Actions speak louder than words. Not words speak louder than actions.
The way OBama talked about the black community you think they would be doing well. Public school grades are getting worse, but teachers are getting more money. In fact, the per student cost National average is over $13,000. That’s more than a private education. Murder up over 300% in Chicago. It took Trump to bring back the policy that gave black colleges millions. The Democrats in still chaos into society, but when they talk you think they’re saving the world. Doing everything they can for us.
I wonder if you ever put this one together. Obama’s Dear Colleague letter had a big part to play in the Parkland shooting. Do you know what he did to lower black people getting expelled, detention, arrested, etc. ?
All he did was stop the teachers and administration from taking any action. The behavior continued. Th FBI was alerted about Cruz over 40 times. He originally got expelled, but was able to come back. He repeatability talked about shooting up the school.
Broward county was the first place to instill that policy. It failed miserably.

Oh, I am no friend of the Democrats however when the country has to choose between literal crap and a fecal dumpster fire that is burning down your house it sort of makes your choice easy. The Republicans have not had a decent president in my entire lifetime and I can't think of a single policy in their presidential campaigns in at least 5 or so elections.
USA is literally falling apart on every front and while Biden and Obama has done the BARE fucking minimum to slow down the decay the Republicans have put a torch to the entire country and pissed on the remains in complete disgust of what USA represents.
Do not come to me and pretend that there is anything redeemable in Republican politics right now. If times were different and we lived in, say 1900 then I would be saying to line up the traitors and gun them down as the criminals they are. Sadly I am more restrained than that so can't take the easy solution no matter how clear cut their betrayal and treason is. Many go along with what is being done because if you fight back, your life or your family’s life will be ruined. The internet and social media can be a dangerous weapon.

Some states are worse than others though and some are better. In my state, Republicans gave us a 1.7 Billion dollar surplus in 2021.
A state having a surplus is not necessarily a good thing. They planned to spend a certain amount in their budget and then ended up with money left over. Either they did a bad job estimating the expenses or perhaps worse, they did not do what they were supposed to which means they did not have to pay for everything that needed to be done.
Considering USA is falling apart even in the literal sense I find it unlikely that they could not find a place to put that money to good use such as fixing your crumbling infrastructure.
As for the 6% figure, its mostly just propaganda. The actual report from the CDC mentioned that 6% of the deaths ONLY had covid where as the rest had other conditions as well which makes sense since covid19 weakens the body making us vulnerable to other diseases to come. Even if the other diseases dont end up contributing to your death which they still can it is still unlikely that you would not get infected by at least something else making the case of just having covid19 by itself very low.
although I'm not old enough to vote it does get tedious how it's always "if your not with us your with them." I personally focus more on issues themselves when forming my opinion rather than the political party they come from. the labels make it hard to be accepted by any group, for example, I'm a part of the lgbtq community and also a supporter of the second amendment. stuff like that makes it hard to be socially accepted especially because kids my age are more involved in politics these days. however I don't necessarily think that it is solely "the democrats" who are divisive. I know quite a lot of Republicans who think they need to have an opinion, not necessarily a negative one, on people based on their race, sex, gender identity, etc. I do think that some inequalities surrounding labels need to be addressed but the extent that people are implementing this, to the point where one of the first questions im asked by anyone are usually about my sexuality, don't seem to be helpful.
So you are someone who focuses on issues? Then I guess you can help me with a little problem I have been having. You see, for the last few elections I have struggled to find an actual policy proposed by the Republicans. It appears to me that they have completely given up on the idea of running on policy and instead only runs on labels and emotional arguments.
So if you know what their policy are actually supposed to be then I would love to hear it.

The goal of my response wasn't to start a debate on republicans vs democrats. My point was that since both, and I don't mean everyone in either community, are so extreme and exclusive I find it hard to fit in. When I said I focus on issues themselves the object was to say whenever I hear about an issue and decide my stance, it differs often on which political party most supports it, therefore I'm labeled by both sides as an enemy because my beliefs don't line up entirely with either. I see how I may not have expressed that clearly. My apologies for the confusion.
I am very serious here. For as much as I hate the Democratic party, they at least have a political position with actual policies. I have not seen hide nor hair of any Republican political policy for over a decade now. From where I stand this is not even a case of two sides being extreme since one side simply dont even exist anymore.

In my experience, Democrats stand for NOTHING. All they want is money and power. They’re always coming up with new policies and changing definitions of words to fit their agenda because they’re con artists. Global Cooling, Global Warming. Now it’s called climate change. First two are one narrative each. With Climste Change any change in the weather constitutes as doomsday. All one has to do is look at the black community as a whole to see what leftists do. 60+ years they’ve predominantly voted Democrat. Live in inner cities that are ran by Democrats 100%. George Floyd. Republicans got the blame for that, but Minneapolis is 100% Democrat run and if a certain person had done her job in 2006 and prosecuted Derek Chauvin when she had a chance, perhaps he would not have died. Democrats talk a great game. They sure do, but their actions don’t line up. They don’t even follow their OWN rules they set for everyone else.

During the pandemic they mentioned nothing about Covid when people protested and were killing and looting. But a Trump rally you had Governors doing everything they could to stop his rallies.
Democrats told us “2 weeks to flatten the curve.” They’re still using Covid as an excuse.
I’ve done extensive research on this for the last 15 years. I have over 120 bookmark folders. I can lay out myriad perspectives from each person. I’m a felon myself, so I’m able to think from a criminal perspective. Psychology and who we are as humans at the core has a lot to do with what we want in life. Did you know that Rationalization is the second strongest human drive?
One thing I’ve rarely ever seen from Democrats is admitting when they’re wrong. The lengths they will go to make themselves feel good.
@Soteris Another thing. Their are two types of actions that make you feel good. The instantaneous ones like using drugs, having sex, selfie’s on Instagram, sexting will give you an instant high, but it doesn’t last long.
People who discipline themselves, follow the law, respect others and themselves will have good days and bad days. More bad days at the beginning, but through hard work and dedication, ultimately you feel really good and it comes from inside. It’s a natural high that lasts all day.

Putting aside that pretty much all you said is categorically wrong, it is completely besides the point. I was trying to limit myself in actions rather than empty talk. I was even being charitable since just because you have a policy does not mean you will actually do anything about it.
The thing however is that as far as I can tell the Republicans have not even put forward policies. There has been nothing of substance in their political campaigns much less in what they actually implemented which is a whole other can of disappointment.
So at this point it is easy. One party provides policies and actually does something (even if I think they are utterly pathetic and corrupt) while the other party, the Republicans, dont even pretend to do anything anymore. No actions to fix problems, not even any policies put forward, they are literally not doing their job so why should I even consider them a valid political party anymore?

We don’t see what is going on at their level too. A lot of intimidation and threats. It’s our own faults for letting it get this bad. To let a minority group of people strain this much power.

I agree that people should be able to say what they please regardless of how offensive (as long as it's not a call to action) but that doesn't mean it doesn't make you a dick. My question is why should you care what my sexual preference is? That was a very minute part of what I said and not even close to the point.
First off, I am not extremely vocal about it and, as I said, I find it weird that that is the first thing people want to know about me, especially considering I'm a minor. I don't understand why other people's personal lives are something you feel the need to comment on and although I have never partaken in a pride parade, i have no doubt you could easily just not go or turn your head, rather than trying to impede on others' freedom.
Secondly, none of what I said in my response was forceful and I wasn't attacking any specific political party. I criticized both the left and right on their tendencies to divide people into categories.
And lastly, I don't know what you are referring to as "your people" but it's quite amusing that you feel so attacked by a child merely stating her opinion.

I don’t mind gay people. I have family members that are such. The problem I have is that being forced upon everyone. Sharing bathrooms, guys wrestling women, playing basketball, etc etc. Obama told public schools that they would not receive federal money unless men could use the girls bathroom.
We were told years ago that all gay people wanted was to get married and that’s it.

They thrive on controversy. They create problems then offer a supposed solution to those problems. They create racial division, then pretend to offer solutions for it, which just make it worse. They create controversy, which causes people to vote by emotions rather than thinking rationally. Just stir people up emotionally and you get their votes. It's a method that works so they keep doing it.
They don't think they are. But assuming they are, how would you propose they stop? Sadly, about 90% of the suggestions anyone could come up with are exaggerations at best if not completely made up. Like CRT: ask any Democrat to stop teaching it to kids and your wish will be instantly granted - because it isn't taught to kids. Republicans just said it was to create division t campaign on. And it worked. Democrats would be fine if people stopped getting mad about fake grievance issue.
