Definitely! Recently saw a performance by Henry Cho, a Korean descent, who lives in Knoxville with a Southern accent. Back when, I work with a Chinese descendant with a Southern accent when I was working in Savannah. What was even funnier, were the Brit and Scotsman who were gaining the Southern accent in their speech patterns.

Oh definitely..,. That's true of any accent. If a white kid grew up in India, he would talk like an Indian.

Spend enough time around any group of people and you'll eventually adapt to them in some regards.
