I also believe the supreme court or someone has an agenda to pick racist and corrupted candidates to take control of the country because they don't like Lincoln's and Ronald Reagan's ideology, which is why they're trying to erase them. There's not a lot of positive things to say about Reagan. Through his programs:

* He began the systematic elimination of the middle class
* He instituted tax laws that proliferated income disparity that's still growing
* He sold you the bullshit "trickle-down economics" program which aided the above and fails every time, everywhere
* He made college education affordable only for the elite on the advice of former Nixon, and later his own advisor, Roger Freeman, who said in 1970, "we are in danger of producing an educated proletariat".

Had it not been for the Dems controlling the House during the Reagan years, and Tip O'Neill's objections to Reagan's domestic policies and some (not all) of his fanatical foreign policy, you'd have seen what's happening now 40 years ago.

The two things Reagan did that made sense were to say "Trust, but verify", and his understanding from being governor of California, the value of migrant workers in the US economy. Reagan was THE most falsely boosted up President since Washington.

Actually Lincoln was a former Whig, the Whigs generally supported big business and acts like tariffs. The Republicans who were largely former Whigs (after that party collapsed) went on to support Whig policies although they were originally a one issue party, slavery. The Lincoln administration increased tariffs. After WWII conservatives in the US increasingly recognized that America could not survive in the global age with isolationist policies. The Cold War meant that we needed to forge trade deals to improve our people's standard of living to prevent communist infiltration and revolution. Conservatives who supported these new policies were called neoconservatives. Reagan wasn't always a neoconservative, but he often followed their policies. However such thinking began to decline again after the fall of the Soviet Union. Even after 9/11 external threats just didn't seem to be what they once were. It seemed the Neoconservatives like Bush were fighting pointless foreign wars. Thus Paleo-conservatives like Trump with Pre-Cold War mentalities took back control.

Well, what is Lincoln associated with? Preserving the Union and ending slavery. Two things that aren’t issues today.

What is Reagan most associated with? Fighting Communism and restoring pride in the US after a defeat in Vietnam and stagflation. The latter is one of the things that Trump refers to with the “MAGA” slogan.

As for Communism, today’s geopolitical environment is different than it is during the 1980s (and so are many of the country’s greatest challenges) so why would Trump continually bring up Reagan, who got snookered by the Democrats’ lies that there would be border enforcement if illegals were given amnesty?

What kind of conservatives do you talk to? I have yet to see one who 100% hates those two. They criticize Lincoln for violating Hebeaus Corpus and Reagan for the drug war, the minor amount of gun control he did and the establishment of no fault divorce.

About this "trickle down" stuff, Herbert Hoover was the one who coined the term and I haven't seen any proof of Reagan saying he wants it implemented. The only proof I have that he believed in it was from leftists telling me he is. I don't necessarily agree that wealth "trickles down" but taxes and other financial liabilities certainly do, which is why "taxing the rich" is a retarded move in practice.
