Why are you thankful to live in The USA?

What are some reasons why you wake up happy and go to sleep same way, knowing you live in the greatest country in the world and there isn't even a close 2nd?

We have so many things to be grateful for

In most countries it's a luxury to have your own vehicle. We take it for granted. - at least one lol

Most other countries have Healthcare that doesn't hold a candle to the Healthcare here in the good old US

We have housing security such as wick and leap to help our less fortunate

Now that we got a real government again we have strong border security and strong homeland security to protect our citizens

I could go on and on

But I want to hear your number one reason

In most countries it's a luxury to have your own vehicle. We take it for granted. - at least one lol * No, it's not a luxury, it's an unnecessary expense in many countries. MOST industrialized countries have great, safe, cheap public transportation both in and out of city areas, such that you don't need a vehicle.

Most other countries have Healthcare that doesn't hold a candle to the Healthcare here in the good old US
* The cool thing about propaganda is you can make up any shit you want and some people will believe you anyway. The United States is ranked dead LAST in the world's developed nations for "health outcomes". That means it spends more money per capita than anyone else, with the least beneficial results.

* Factoring in these 5 categories, Access to Care, Care Process, Administrative Efficiency, Equity, and Health Outcomes, the USA ranks a staggering 69th in the world according to the Legatum Prosperity Index (UK). No organization in the world ranks it higher than 26th in overall care. What the USA does have is advanced specialized care for those who can afford it.

Now that we got a real government again we have strong border security and strong homeland security to protect our citizens
* Protect our citizens from what? White, cis gender males commit 76% of all crimes, violent and otherwise, in the USA. Go ahead and look up the crime rate for "undocumented individuals". Go ahead. Don't even MENTION education, especially in red states.

I could go on and on...
* uh huh The median savings for an American household is $8,000 - that's less than two month's earnings of the median INCOME for an American household, which is $80, 600.

* The median take home pay after taxes for a single person in the USA is less than $850 a week. Do the math. Rent, car payments (yeah, that luxury you can afford two of), insurance, utilities, phone, food and what do you have left? Do the math.

Yes I am. I'm particularly thankful for when and were I was born. People these days don't know what freedom was like before 2002.

I feel lucky to live in the USA because it's fairly stable and we have a Bill of Rights. Other countries might be idyllic for a while, but they suffer coups or wars. And stable countries in Europe and the British Commonwealth are more authoritarian because they have no Bill of Rights.

In the U. S., I can dress how I want, practice whatever religion I want or not, and seek whatever means of income I want. I can pretty much say what I want even though they are trying to make criticism of Israel illegal. I can own guns, motor vehicles and real estate.
And there is zero chance of any country invading the U. S.

I guess what I am most grateful for is peace and whatever freedoms we have left.

We enjoy the opportunity to make something out of our lives no matter our background, all it takes is dedication, imagination and hard work.
