I'm grateful I was born in the United States, but I can't say I show much pride in being in American anymore with all the controversy, racism, racist elected officials, crooked cops, and people who will step on each other to make a quick dollar.
Democracy is great in action, but when you get people in power that lie, cheat, and diminish everyone, it makes you question it sometimes. The recent presidential officials are either out there in space or moronic, trying to overturn an election. I'm sorry, but anyone who loves their country would never do such a thing, and people got hurt in the process. It's unacceptable.
Other than the embarrassments running the country, yes, I am damn proud to be an American, and I hope the next elected official that comes along, plants flowers, rather than strip mines. Environmentalist care, those with their heads wrapped around which building they should collect a profit on don't.
It's still a good country to be free in, and I'm grateful to the soldiers that protect our freedom.
Yes, I grew up during a time when you could walk the streets at night and not have to worry about a drive by shooting, you could cruise around all night on 5 bucks of regular, everyone's mom stayed home to take care of the kids and a high school diploma was good enough to get you a factory job where you could raise a family. I hardly recognize the country I am living in today.
Yup. Republicans made it so every crazy person has the right to murder you with a "patriotic" firearm. And Republican crony capitalists made it so fat cat executives and fat, orange, trust fund man-babies can escape life without paying taxes while the rest of us support their lifestyles on American golf courses. And YOU joined their cult. :(
@supercutebutt It is democrats that created the crime problem. It goes back to LBJ starting the welfare system. It rewarded people for having illegitimate kids. They created a whole class of people that get benefits from the government. All the democrats have to do is keep the checks coming.
In the state I live in they had a law that you got a mandatory year in jail if you get caught with an unregistered firearm. They stopped enforcing this law because 99% of the people getting lugged for it were gangbangers. Liberal judges decided the law was racist. No wonder you have all the murders in democrats cities. It really pissed me off that I had to get some firearms for protection because the cops can't do their jobs anymore.
Move to Russia. You love Putin. You love white people and Russia is 100% white. So leave this country since you hate it so much. :) Join Putin's army. Problem solved!
Of course, even though America seen better I know I could be living in a country that doesn't have as many freedoms as America does.
No, because I wasn't born in the United States of America. I was born in England.

I'm super grateful to have been born in the U. S. But I was born at the best possible time, when the country was at its most prosperous and the middle class was thriving. All through my life, my timing was great.
9/11/2001 was a coup d'etat against the constitution and things have moved consistently closer to totalitarianism ever since. Digital technology has made enslavement even more possible.
A little over ten years ago, my wife and I started exploring other countries that might be good retirement locations. I finally concluded that if a country is peaceful and progressive, the neoliberal U. S. and New World Order will destabilize or overthrow it eventually. So, as bad as things are getting here, it's safer to stay in the belly of the beast.
The U. S. still has some advantages to other countries, mainly a tradition of liberty and freedom. So I'll stay here and work to preserve what's unique and good about America.
Yup. Except for the last couple decades, it's been going to hell in a handbasket. Like @Lliam been looking at other countries to retire too so the money ain't wasted on taxes and inflated high prices plus putting up with the snowflakes and cry-babies out there today.
The US is just a piece of land. I am thankful for the people that made it a great place to live vs most other places. People made the US great, so I am thankful for those people. For example, Russia could have been like the US but people there decided to make it something else.
I mean sure, there are places that are far worse. But there's also places that are far better. It would be nice to be able to afford Healthcare, for example.
I was born in Germany, so I can't say I'm thankful and grateful for having been born in the United States.
I can say that I am thankful and grateful that my mother took me to the United States as a child.
I WAS, until 2 years ago when that demented old fuck, Biden, stole the election and fucked over the country!!
Those pictures didn't say shit to me except to remind me of how terrible it is here, now!!
I mean I could have had a worse spawn but I could have been born into a country that I don't have to worry about getting ill then having the choice between going bankrupt or slowly dying
Hell yes. I just wish this site was ONLY for Americans, and not the fruit cakes from the UK, Germany and Sweden.
I feel very lucky to be a Citizen of the United States of America. I was born in post WWll Germany and brought as a child to the US. Maybe that makes me a 'fruit cake from Germany'? Unless you are full-bred Indigenous North American, you are probably at least part 'fruit cake' too.
Many people who were born in the US don't know how good they have it, even with the erosion of the basic values and benefits of living in this country.
@Craftsman
This site is a punching bag for Americans, and I hate it.
I’m a military brat I was born in Portugal on the Azor islands on a USA military base came to the USA at six months old to Florida, and always stayed here
ABSOLUTELY!
America, despite some TERRIBLE politicians lately is still by FAR the best country in the world; and I’m proud to be born and live here, and I’ll fight to keep it that way.
No, that is why I moved to another country. The standard of living is far too low, wages are too low, and the crime is out of control.
Where did you go? What are you talking about?
She's a pathetic liar. Delete her shit.
I am thankful and grateful that i was not born in the United States of America
Absolutely yes, anyone who says no should be deported immediately
No. You know the reasons.
Absolutely.
