Are We Doing So Badly Today Because We Treated Young People So Badly Before?

I've long believed that for centuries, the group that was treated the worst, other than Blacks, was young people. When I was in my late teens, in Indiana, in the early 1980's, it was appalling. Can you imagine trying to buy a six pack of beer, and being asked to show three ID's? That was a state law in Indiana. As one might expect, young people retaliated, and voted for far left political candidates for generations, leading us to where we are now.

Indeed, the strategy of trying to get back at Boomers or Generation X by voting for far left politicians is a losing proposition, chiefly because European style Socialism marginalizes the young to take care of the old.
