I don't know how he keeps track of what he knows, and keeps up with the schedule. I'd make mistakes and did so this week. I think all people do.

That said, it's a question of consistency and other issues. He does have clogging arteries... are they plugging up his brain? Did he not sleep, is he on meds, have an argument with his wife... just tired from the schedule and pressures?

Anyone can make errors periodically. He's in the media all the time, Biden hid from the media most of the time and only came out with a prepared script to read.

There's a difference. I haven't been listening as much as I used to so cannot judge if it's getting worse.

There would be 33 questions from our resident MAGA folks about Biden's mental decline if he said anything like this. Suddenly in the same scenario, they offer excuses as to why it's not mental decline when Trump does the same thing. That's how cults work though...

I don't think so. Presidents appoint someone then fire that someone (or ask them to resign) quite often.

For instance, during the Korean War, President Harry S. Truman appointed General Douglas MacArthur as the Supreme Commander of the United Nations Command in Korea on July 8, 1950. Truman would famously fire MacArthur later on April 11, 1951.

No one debated Truman's intellect over the issue although it did hurt him politically which is why he didn't rerun for President in 1952.

He won't, but Vice President Beardo should invoke the 25th Amendment to the U. S. Constitution which states that a mentally and/or physically impaired President can be removed from office.
