I may not be the only one to think this, but I officially lost respect for Donald trump when the January 6th 2021 attack on the Capitol happened. I saw it happen step by step on tv that very day. I would say this event with epstein is horrible news, which it is, but, even back then most americans already knew how close he was with epstein.. and all the current "findings" really aren't anything new.

I and like many americans here find the D. C. capitol to be a sacred place for America, Trump consciously lied to his own followers to make them believe the 2020 election was stolen just because he didn't win it. Which if anyone of his base had actually fact checked that claim of "the election was stolen" they would've realized we have not had any stolen elections ever since trump started running for office. However trump's followers don't agree with fact checking because he makes his followers believe fact checking is bad or some liberal non sense. So his followers just followed his words, "the election was stolen, march down to the Capitol and fight like hell". During the time of jan 6th we were not under Any foreign invasion, there were no spies in the capitol planning to over throw the government. In other words there was no reason for any number of people to even need to be "marching to the capitol to fight like hell".

trump will never have my respect again for 2 reasons.

1. Not trustworthy. He deliberately lies to and endangers his own followers, rather than telling the truth, and admitting what he did was wrong. For example have you ever heard president trump say "sorry americans we admit what we have done was wrong and we will work to make things right."?

2. He doesn't actually have respect for America nor it's citizens. He doesn't understand the president's job is to uphold the constitution.

Then when I saw people climbing up the walls of the Capitol Building, I thought, "What the hell is happening?" I called family to turn on the TV. He had actually taken away the power away from the National Guard when he lost to Biden, so that he could plan something like this and not have them involved in anything.
