All I know is that Napoleon III got defeated by Otto von Bismarck and Alsace and Lorraine went to Germany until France got them back in 1918.

I know Napoleon IV died fighting for the British in South Africa during the boar war.
That’s even more out there because emperor Napoleon I was defeated by the British and one of his great grand nephews fought and died for the British.
