Why can't the opposite genders be genuinely kind towards each other?

Unless it's a family member or is a job they're getting paid (ex: a bellboy has to carry random people's luggage), there is always a reason when opposite genders are kind towards each other and it's always whenever there is some attraction for the purpose of it eventually leading to a romantic relationship.

For instance if a woman accidentally drops her books, the guy only helps her if he's attracted to her and it's followed by sweet cumpliments. There is always a catch to that. What if she wasn't very attractive, had facial acne and was very overweight? Vice-versa is also true. She won't go all the way of doing him any favor unless she likes him.

Why can both genders help each other out of genuine kindness without hidden agendas? I've helped others whenever I could. I don't have to be attracted towards anyone to help out.

Then obviously someone of the opposite gender being overly nice to the point it's too good to be true aren't genuinely kind for nothing in return. Once you reject them and tell them you don't want a romantic relationship all of the sudden they either turn mean or pretend you don't exist.

That's easy. And your question is a good example of why. You mentioned when a man is nice to a woman with an ulterior motives. But you completely left out the other side. When a woman flirt with a man or compliments a man but does it just to get his attention. And when she gets her fill of that attention she goes ice cold on him and walks away.

Because most of your gender considers that ok and completely fair game. This is why we can't, this is why we won't be nice.👍🙂

P. S. I am nice, most guys are, until you give us a reason not to be. That's just common sense and no one should be surprised by that.

That's why I've mentioned about both genders always having hidden agendas. It's like no one is kind without expecting something in return. Few people are actually capable of being truly altruistic.

As soon as someone expects a relationship to develop or to get attention, it's already not out of kindness.

I see most people i encounter, 60-65%, are friendly. That "change" when rejected, have you experienced both sides? When you get rejected it's catch up and match the feeling. In other words when rejected I feel, unless she was trying to convey kindness, that she doesn't like me. So naturally that dislike is in kind. As long as the neck stretched out for chopping is 99% of the time the guys I don't think a woman has any place to object to our reaction.

No I have no attraction to many people and help them. That's the way most non narcissist people react.

That's how it should be. Sadly fewer people are like that. As soon as there is a hidden agenda and they expect attention or a relationship it takes away the whole purpose of their nice acts.
