The people of NM eleted there governor to use the powers of the national guard. The people of Washington did not elect Donald as governor yet using the national guard as a military police.

Are you aware that there’s a scandal regarding DC’s violent crime statistics all the way back to 2018? I live in DC, and even White House reporters (hardly MAGA) acknowledge crime is high here. Whether it’s lower than in 2023 is irrelevant- it’s still too high.

DC has a huge relevance for our relations with other countries. Think of the shame I felt walking by tents with European visitors, tents in which homeless people were screaming profanities at each other. In a good part of town, too.
