In your opinion, what if any is or should be the difference between a Dictator and a President?

Are they different at all? What should happen when a President tries to become a Dictator?

A President in a Constitutional Republic with Democratic Values has checks and balances. His branch is The Executive Branch which he is head of, though Legislative Branch featuring House of Representatives and The Senate run independently along with The Judicial Branch which runs independently too.

Each branch has its own duties , has its own systems of checks and balances to keep the other branches in check to not gain too much power or influence over all the others , and The Founders purposely made it so to prevent a “dictatorship”. Remember, we fought for independence from a tyrant who abused the rules , attacked the governing bodies of the colonies , and raised prices on colonists without their consent.

As an elected official, a president’s responsibility is to serve their constituents. It’s not generally a position of authority, but service. The lone exception: as Commander in Chief, POTUS is absolutely an authority, but that role comes with responsibilities and a fair bit of counsel. There’s very little that he can unilaterally order without going through the joint chiefs.
Dictators answer to no one. They are the end all, be all supreme authority within their domain. No person is above them or even next to them. Any attempt to circumvent their authority will be met with marginalization.
If you are once again suggesting that Drumpf is a dictator, or even attempting to be, you should read up on authoritarian rule and totalitarian rule. But try to do so with an open mind, because the figureheads you openly support have all of the same qualities.

Half his base claimed he lied to them about medicare and ssi, which isn't entirely true. They just refused to pay attention. Distracted by his slight of hand pomp and fluff. Appears they literally thought project 25 was fake. Wasn't. Half america knew it and didn't vote for him. So dictator is exactly what the other half voted for. Now vote them out. And repair what can be repaired.

Ummm... a Constitution and Separation Of Powers established in different branches of a federal government and state governments.

Dictator - Unlimited power and centralized decision making in the hands of a severely damaged personality.

President - Power limited by law which forces change by leadership, cooperation, and political skill.

i think the presidency should be a branch run by the executive team that cumulatively make up a decision. it's an outdated position and obviously holds no meaning anymore.
