Ahhhh. It used not to be. The first farmers in the fertile crescent were the Natufians and they had brown skin but blue eyes. Cheddar man in England had brown skin and blue eyes.

Blue eyes require a double recessive genes. So there can lots of brown eyed people walking around with one recessive gene. If the community is small, suddenly every one might have blue eyes. There is no way back then if everyone has blue eyes.

This seems to be the case in the UK at this very moment. The percentage of people is over 50%. Back in WW2, the Royal Air Force thought blue eyed pilots were particularly good at shooting down Nazis. So they recorded every recruits eye color against a standard set of marbles.

Back then the RAF only found 20-30% blue eyed pilots. So the number of blue eyed people has about doubled. Soon there won't be a brown eye in England.

It helps that blue eyed people get to fuck more.

Cultural appropriation doesn't bother me. Putting in contact lenses does bother me. I have blue eyes without having to do that so I'll take that as a win and call it a day.

NO I wear natural blue eyes and grey or blue contacts because I can't see. It's not like blue eyes is a cultural. It's like changing your hair colour with dye or wearing make up, tattoos etc.
