I agree that retribution is part of Trump's second term, but this kind of thing is exactly why I was trying to get liberals to back off of their political persecution of Trump. What goes around comes around; especially in politics. And Donald Trump became Donald Trump for a reason.

Unfortunately for the liberals, Trump has a much more substantive basis for going after them than they had for going after him.

Our "own side" never took half a ton of national security documents, kept them in a toilet and on a stage (safely behind a curtain), showed war plans that were never declassified to random groupies, lied about having them, etc. etc. etc.

Our "own side" never tried to use forgery to overturn or organised an attack on the Capitol because we didn't like the results of a valid election, never undermined faith in the electoral system. Never had a dozen co-conspirators convicted of crimes, including obstruction of federal investigations. Never had multiple lawyers disbarred for lying to courts.

Our "own side" never had a presidential candidate that was held liable for rape.

The only coup that happened culminated in Jan 6 (and 1,600 convictions, who Trump pardoned).

Democrats and establishment admitted that they subverted democratic process by knowingly playing up fabricated intel that Trump was somehow colluding with Russia. They have admitted this on the record. The Obama admin has also expressly admitted surveillance on the Trump campaign.

Also, no voter involvement? Are you high? The entire process of redistricting is based on the physical presence of voters in a geographic area. How much more involved could voters be than the basis for a redistricting action?

Texas is redistricting on Trump's orders to steal five House seats. They're not asking the voters if they're willing to go along with it, unlike California which is asking their voters if they should suspend their rules for a couple of elections in response.

It turns out that Bolton was being investigated 4 years ago but Biden (or whoever it was that was really in charge) suddenly stopped the investigation. The FBI resumed it when trump got back in and evidently they found something that was not legal.

The writer said that retribution was the biggest part of Trumps Presidency. That was as far as I could get without a subscription but after reading that I would not have finished reading the article anyway.

Trumps Presidency is already the most consequential President in history. It must have killed that CNN guy to report that too.
