There has been migrant farmworkers for decades that come to the US to work in the fields. Some go back to Mexico and other stay year round. Why all of sudden do we need illegal aliens to take these jobs away from our migrants?

All of the migrant farmworkers that work here now are illegal so thqat growers can avoid paying the higher legal wage.

The ystill have to be paid, just not as much as the law provides or as much as legal workers would need. This is technically illegal but it is nt enforced.

It is not a problem for the grower or the seller, just for the worker. And for them, it is the most they are going to get, legal or not. The grower has no motivation to hire a legal worker when he can hire an illegal one for half the legal rate.

You might think that the grower would want to avoid legal trouble by doing so, except that those laws are never really enforced and he knows that.

I don't think that. What I do think is that it's gross that people are exploiting human beings and people are just fine with it as long as they get cheap vegetables and can pat themselves on the back and pretend to be good people.
