Women in men’s locker rooms?

Do you think women should be able to accompany their young or disabled sons into the men’s locker rooms to assist and supervise them? Do you think female employees should be allowed in men’s locker rooms?

I don't understand why wen have gender segregated locker rooms. This creates all kinds of problems, plus it's a lot more expensive to have two locker rooms instead of one. So the gym will less if we did away with the old system

You know what? I am getting very tired of this whole puritan gender and nudity outrage. If you can't accept that there are instances where it makes sense for other genders being in the "wrong" changing rooms or whatever then lets just do away with the whole concept as a whole. It is clearly more trouble than its worth and people would get over the idea of changing clothes in the same room fairly quickly anyways.

If can get over all the bullshit that would be preferable. It's not like we are already changing as fast as possible while avoiding conversation and only looking at the walls.

@emeraldsaphire sounds more like a mans wet dream under the guide of a child's needs. A woman would bring the child into a woman's locker room If young enough and if too old have a male care taker.

@emeraldsaphire it’s never happened to me before as I don’t frequent gyms, but there is anecdotal evidence of this happening. Some mothers aren’t comfortable with their sons being naked alone with naked adult men and women and a girls aren’t comfortable with a boy above a very young age seeing them naked. And a boy wouldn’t want a group of naked women and girls seeing him naked. Plus, a boy might encounter a girl he knows and it could be very embarrassing to both parties. I think it’s far more appropriate for a woman see 10 naked men, than it is for a boy to see 10 naked women and girls. As a man, I would not be embarrassed if a woman entered the locker room and saw me naked, whether it be a mother or a female employee. And I think boys are more comfortable being naked around adult women rather than girls their own age.

Because women are very protective of their children and they might not want their sons to be naked with adult men. I would say up until their son’s early teen years or at the mother’s discretion she should be allowed to go in. A boy should be comfortable being naked under the watchful eye of his mother. She’s the person who has seen him naked the most. A female employee has valid reasons to enter, such as cleaning, restocking supplies or just a quick inspection.

Why not? Female journalists are allowed to see naked men after sporting events. Female gym employees should have the same right. It’s discriminatory
