Do you believe riding animals for human entertainment is animal cruelty?

I mean in this instance he’s not riding the bull. But no, I don’t view it as abuse or cruelty. I’ve seen and worked with rodeo horses they are the best cared animals I’ve ever seen. Sure some people fail to take care of their animals and give the whole thing a bad reputation but rodeo horses love their jobs, barrel horses adore their jobs. I know people that raise and train their bulls for rodeos, their 6 year old can lay on his back and he comes running for scratches. He’s also a breeding bull and lives a pretty cozy life lol a few weeks of rodeo season where he has to work then turned out with all the heifers.
Most definitely it is. They cannot speak in our language to tell us how they feel so stop trying to enforce your ridiculous entertainment concepts on them, Grow up
You know that the bull dies in an actual fight right? The matador waves the red flag 🚩in its face and has a sword in the other hand and they actually murder the bull in front of the crowd very slowly. Animal cruelty? Absolutely.
I think all of these sports treat animals poorly. My mom is a huge horse race fan until she found out how many horses die from lack of treatment during these races. She doesn’t even watch the Kentucky Derby now. I say all this to say that humans suck.
Yes, if it's just for entertainment, it's definitely animal cruelty.
Thanks for the MHO

It depends. I grew up in the horse world.
Western riders will often ride their horses around barrels and such to the point of being physically crippled.
Race horses are only trained around the track in one direction, which tweaks their pelvis and in turn other parts also leading to crippling issues.
We've seen the captive whale and other wild animal attacks in the news.
Lots of others.
But there are people who do not push their animals to this point. They are very well cared for and loved.
Like anything. It depends on the situation/owner.
Bull fighters don’t ride the animal. It’s literally a fight to the death. It’s only fair that the bull wins from time to time.
Do i think riding beasts of burden is cruel? Not necessarily. If we’re putting 300 lbs. people on 90 lbs. animals, obviously that’s cruel. Most cruelty is found in how the animals are kept and treated, rather than the work they do. Most people with horses treat them extremely well. Focusing on the abusive minority casts an unfair shadow on ethical animal husbandry.
It is cruelty. They aren't naturally built to carry our lazy fat arses so sitting on them expecting them to do the work of moving the lard is cruel
Bullfighting isn't "riding," kiddo.
It's actually an art, and sport. Like any sport, there can be accidents and deaths.
Definitely, if they aren’t meant for riding leave them alone
Right size horse for your weight no. Lard arse on an undersized horse yes.
I think the Bible says God gave us mastery over all animals because they are just beasts. But they were also created God ergo it is incumbent upon us to be good stewards of them. Ergo no, we should not abuse them for sport.
Yes, bull fighting would only be okay if it was more fair. The bull needs to be armed as well.
Yes, I do. I don't know about working horses, but racing horses definitely is.
it absolutely is. but unlike other animal cruelty this one has one redeeming quality: at least once n a while, a human gets fucked during this
22, to young, just to play with a bull. I read that the meat from the bull fight is given to the needy.
Wow what a great question , it seems to be. Yes . But I don't know.
Is it. It's been happening for centuries in centuries . But there's always great risk in that
It's questionable because if they weren't bred for sport, they just wouldn't be bred
It's woolly headed liberalism to think anything else
Sure, but on my bucket list is becoming a rodeo announcer.( I AM called "Cowboy.")
um. They aren’t riding the bulls at all bullfight.
Yes I do, too some extent.
Yes. It should be banned.
Only if the bull wins.
Nope.
Uh no
Not really
... must "have"...
