Instigators and profiteers, for sure. I do believe that self defense is a fundamental human right. If you attack someone, they are not in the wrong for defending themselves, but an argument has been made about acceptable degrees of escalation. If someone throws a cupcake in your face, hitting them in the face is an acceptable escalation. It punishes them for their bad behavior and suggests to them that attacking you again will have escalating consequences. Murdering them and their whole family is not an appropriate escalation for a cupcake to the face. But ours is a world filled with people possessed by their feelings. Who too often justify the most deplorable behavior with “Well they started it!”, like children.

I don't think that hitting a person in the face is a proportionate response to them throwing a cupcake in your face , since you might seriously injure them by doing this. Instead, throwing food in their face would be a more proportional response.

I disagree. If the consequences don’t persuade them to never attack you again, then there is absolutely no point in responding at all. You may as well thank them and invite them to throw food at you every day for the rest of your life.

I like your post but where is the line drawn? I do think everyone should live according to what thier heart tells them. But just because someone is not pure of heart doesn't necessarily make them evil either.

War is started, essentially, by two mentally disturbed people who cannot reach a most basic agreement of sustainable peace. The need for the biggest bestest weapons stems from that. So where is the line drawn if you are a traitor to your country if you do not agree with your insane leader.

@dustybiker2 There is a Tesla dealership near my house. One of the cars spontaneously caught fire. The fire dept had to come back twice because it would re ignite. Finally the car was removed on a flatbed. I suspect it was buried somewhere.
