It doesn't really matter to me because it's not our choice and we all have one thing in common and that is being human.

Nah, as long as I get invited to their cultural celebration. That's one of the things I love about the USA. Cinco De Mayo? I'm in. Italian Saints festivals? Oh yeah. Polish polka? OK, I can't dance and I'm not a huge fan of accordion music but I love the atmosphere. The Spanish? They brought paella and brandy to the party. The Irish fuckers? Quite possibly the best people to party with ever. The Scottish? Arrogance and whisky and curling, what could be more fun? Jamaicans? Reggae music? Oh yeah. The Portugees? Seafood. Indians, French, Greeks, Lebanese, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, all the ese, Koreans, and on and on. Just invite me to the party.

It's fun as an ice breaker talking about home. Helps to build up to deeper conversations. We did these things as kids and like that and couldn't do that. With being an adult you figure out why with political, economic, religious, or cultural pressures and process it with someone who's outside of that nationality.
