I saw something on my cellphone that said "Don't buy anything because we (America) is headed for a recession." Do you believe that is true?

The system that a lot of economies are built on is destined to fail because it is unsustainable and it isn't a matter of if it will all come crashing down but a matter of when.

You have factually been in a recession for months. Firing the people meant to report that and claiming they lied, does not undo it. Production has grinded to a halt. Unemployment is rising at an alarming rate. Inflation is rising increasingly quickly.

Luckily 2024 had a strong economy but 2025 is already looking like a cry for help.

However countries are quite resilient. It can still be turned around. But it would rely on shocking things like investing in workers and not employing self-harming policies like tariffs.

The only thing I am buying these days is groceries. As for a rescission I think it is here all ready.

Mind you that you are dealing with inflation too. Just don't buy stuff you don't want/need.
