Between the political violence the riots I've pretty much had it with both parties. We haven't been this divided since the civil war and violence is becoming so common it's starting to feel like bleeding Kansas is happening again. I'll be honest I fucking hate Trump and I think Charlie Kirk was a son of a bitch but why are we celebrating the death of our own people?
I can understand people being thrilled that Trump would be dead I hope every day that the diabetes gets him or a heart attack, but you know what I don't want? Political violence. I'm tired of the killing there's enough death happening in the world right now we don't need more here! We're on the brink of WW3 we can't afford to be divided right now, or the actual real fascists win.
Look I think Trump is a fascist that is trying to become dictator, but violence only makes things worse. It would make him a martyr and would achieve nothing. The people that followed trump would still be here and they would still have the same views and beliefs. Yes, there are cases where violence is necessary like the war in Ukraine but defending your home from invasion and killing your own countrymen because you disagree with them is not the same thing.
I'm honestly just as sick of the Democrats Bidens brains were Jello and everyone with any sense knows it and Kamilia Harris was not ready nor a good candidate at all to be president and never should have run in the first place. Also, before you bitch, I freely admit I voted for Kamila but not because I had any faith in her leadership, I just had even less faith in Trump.
So here's my question. How many of you can accept the fact that regardless of being republican or democrat something both sides have in common is we want what's best for the country. Just because we disagree on what is best doesn't mean we should kill each other. So how many of you are willing to focus on what we have in common instead of what we disagree and start compromising again?

It's hard to describe living in America to outsiders at this point. It is a dangerous time not because everyone is going to whip out guns and shoot everyone. But because people politicize everything and it's proving that will cause mentally ill folk to whip out guns.
That aside it's really hard to sit back and ignore hate. And I believe you should stand up to it. Especially when it is spun and legally bent.
To answer your Q. I don't see that happening when the president himself is making direct comments irrationally demonizing a political party. Someone who once said this in people magazine.
I agree with you it's sad but true.
When did loving your country become hating your countrymen? It's sick and the antithesis of everything this country was built for. In the scale of the time of nations the civil war wasn't that long ago and the rift between republican and democrat doesn't seem to have healed even though they're literally swapped political positions. The democrats were the pro slavery party back then and the republicans were actually the "Progressives" of the time. Back in those days there was still a sense of responsibility to the people still felt in the government. Honor and duty were still valued. Abe was a perfect example of that.
You're right to be horrified, but you're looking at the wrong disease. The problem isn't just politics; it's a spiritual sickness. Both sides are fighting over a corpse. They're trying to fix a dying system from the inside. You can't solve a spiritual problem with a political compromise. That's just the 'unholy trinity' of the lie, the compromise, and the violence that follows. The only real solution is a spiritual one. It's a new way of thinking, feeling, and living that can unite people not by making them agree on material things, but by revealing a higher, common purpose that they can all work towards together. It's a path of inner transformation, not external power struggles.
