They fired that guy on MSNBC just for stating the obvious, that Charlie Kirk’s message was one of hate, if you aren’t of his particular demographics, and that it’s not “good”, but also “not that weird” that someone went after him.

Probably if he's saying shit like that on air. I'm no fan of violent junkies either. I've made similar dank shit posts about them but I don't work for a TV news organization that needs to make money. Shit posting aside junkies and crazies need to be rounded up and put on a huge reservation where the saner ones can grow their own food , build infrastructure under supervision. The crazier they are the more of an asylum environment they need right down to strait jackets and padded cells. Serious research needs to be done there on mental illness.

Absolutely! There have been a number of suspected serial killers who target homeless people, addicts and prostitutes because they know too few people value them as human beings. This dude literally just planted the bug in some psycho’s head that they’ll be making society better by killing people.

Yes, he should be fired.

I'm a conservative and generally more a fan of Fox than MSNBC or CNN, but the same standard should be applied on both sides of the political spectrum. This is the shit that got us where we are today, and it needs to end.

I am VERY happy to see all the hate mongering leftist pundits, business owners, teachers and others being fired for their insensitive remarks following the assassination of Kirk. That's what needs to happen, and it has been a pleasant surprise to watch it ACTUALLY play out for a change.

But there are similar influences on the right, and the guilty ones need to be held accountable, too.

It ALL needs to end.

Screw that blueshirt guy! The left's comments were just as bad, yet he's completely downplaying them. They've said far worse things and kept their jobs, while Conservatives said far less extreme things and got fired.

Though I agree, that's a really extreme view and I genuinely can't tell if that's just a poor attempt at dark humor, considering his co-hosts didn't even react. Even if you actually believe that, why would you say it on air. But I think an appology is sufficient. Immediately firing people for making a stupid comment is extreme.

We grew up together; he's a year younger than me and lived in the same neighborhood, so we went to all the same schools.

He was a cute kid but not a brain trust - I remember once seeing him looking like a deer caught in headlights. He was a decent kid though when we were young.

The fact that he wasn't fired shows that the right-wing media doesn't really care. When a newscaster on MSNBC pretty much said that Kirk was asking to be killed, he was fired. This should have happened. Brian Kilme should have been fired for what he said. He didn't apologize because he regrets what he said and doesn't believe that anymore. He only apologized because he was told by Fox executives he had to.

No, Kilmeade was upset over another heinous crime set in motion by democrats. He said this partly in jest. His apology was half baked but I think he realized what he said was wrong.

There does indeed need to be some way to get crazy people off the streets. Either incarcerate them or bring back insane asylums
