To a degree I suppose. Not being able to make ends meet, living paycheck to paycheck can cause depression and feelings of why do I even bother. It sucks having to go to work and slave knowing full well you’re not paid remotely what you’re worth and then essentially drowning in debt. So yeah money could definitely help with depression. But it’s also not a cure all.

We'll... maybe but not always. money can be a lot of things... buy access and comfort and adventures. It can be a stressor to manage because of the risk of loss and a root of conflict.

Absolutely. Financial struggles is one of the top reasons people take that route.

I think the general sentiment is that money might not make you happy, but it trivializes half of your problems and opens doors you never knew existed.

If you never had money and suddenly you have it and you're not overly bright it might. You'd sped like crazy on stupid things like alcohol, drugs, women and who knows what else. That might drive you over the edge.

Money grants confidence but money isn't solution for all problems. Especially if it's some kind of bipolar or borderline disorder that leads to depression with suicidal feelings

Not in of itself but money is a means to an end. You got a roof over your head. food on the table that's a place to start. Maybe the only place to start.

Some people are using the threat of suicide as a means to get attention. Money won't fix that.

Yes, lack of control of somebody's life can cause depression. Having money gives you a lot of control over your life.
