Although the ones I've met have all been perfectly pleasant (and owned washing machines). As with Czechia and Slovakia, the stereotype of Poland being poor and not modern / westernized, really isn't accurate.

I would say Polish people in general are a different breed to UK people.

UK people have become weak due to excessive comfort, whereas Polish people are pragmatic and tough. I think Poland can have very beautiful women, as well as the usual materialistic 'bitches'.
