Consider OVER 90% of abortions were early, so why can't democrat party compromise?

I mean a ban like FRANCE law at FOURTEEN weeks, would affect almost no abortions, so... why can't a COMPROMISE between "allow late term" to "forbid at human rights, conception" be a ban from FOURTEEN WEEKS it would affect almost nobody so why not compromise?

At least this is the right direction. Rather than a hard yes or no. I don't think 14 weeks is a reasonable cutoff myself but a lot more reasonable than a no. If it is a moral concern, and what else could it be, surely the point needs to be at what week a real consciousness or life is developed. Which, and I readily admit I can be wrong on this one, is believed to be around week 35 for basic consciousness and around 21 for some basic requirements for physical life.

We have chosen week 21 here, Sweden, for free abortions however special circumstances still apply beyond.

But as long as it is respected and we remove the stigma I think we can generally agree that abortions before or past a certain date are treated differently. I do need to emphasize the stigma needs to be removed.

Our basic policy boils down to if the fetus has advanced enough that it could potentially survive outside, it should no longer be aborted. Whether that is the right criteria or not is up for debate. But a debate I think is sensible.

All of this to be really clear, does not remove all options from the woman carrying and special circumstances such as damage to the fetus, unusual conception and more will still be cause for reconsidering the last allowed week.

Why not? Because complications can happen at any time during pregnancy. Why not leave those decisions to the pregnant woman and her team of medical professionals? I'm certainly not qualified or justified to be making those decisions. Why do you think your fake religion, of all things, gives you that right?

Because every time a state has implemented a 15 or so week ban, they immediately begin talking about lowering it even more. That "compromise" is a way to get the foot in the door in states where they have less secure control.

Also, why the fuck should we compromise our rights to control our own bodies, our own medical choices, and our own consensual reproductive choices, to people we don't know or want controlling us?
