The boomers are obviously the luckiest, and got everything handed to them on a plate. Not only that, but they're also the most selfish and greedy generation in history, so they've managed to keep it all, as well as stealing even more from future generations.

We millennials are probably okay, and if we aren't now, we should be once the boomers start dying off - and at least we lived through the '90s and '00s, which was a pretty great time to be alive, with the best movies, music, and general culture.

Gen-X got screwed the worst. They didn't have everything easy, like the boomers, and they had to endure terrible '80s music, movies and general culture. No wonder they're so miserable (statistics do show that they are the least happy generation).

The younger generations, who knows? I suspect they may be in a similar position to Gen-X, where the wealth that gets passed on from the boomers to the millennials, skips them and goes to the generation that follows (if there's even any left) - and they'll have grown up listening to terrible music, and watching endless CGI-heavy sequels, reboots, spinoffs and Marvel garbage.

Yes and no. The newer generations live in probably the most convenient times ever. You can order food and have it delivered. You have pretty much everything available to you in grocery stores. You have access to all the information you need. You have the best healthcare throughout history. The most safety throughout history... literally kids pull out their phones and start recording and they feel invincible.

Even if you live in a time where housing costs are ridiculously inflated, you still have a better standard of life than most people back in the day. Houses and living spaces are better made with better insulation, heating, AC, plumbing, and electrical. Standards have only went up across the board. So yes, you might have a smaller living space, but you can also buy stuff with a tap of your finger from an app. Literally anything you need or want with Amazon, Temu, Alibaba, Wish, Shein, etc.

The tradeoffs are that the dating world is much worse off and you trade your freedom and privacy, for security and safety.

The thing a new generation has over older generations is TIME. There are looming problems, but young minds with loads of energy will be addressing them with technology and science. And I think most of them can be solved.

Wars and disputes? Heaven knows about them. I'm just thinking about making the planet clean and keeping it liveable.

Yes and no.

In terms of small pox, polio, measles, scarlet fever, tetanus, STDs, and other ailments, they are extremely lucky with advanced medical science knowledge know how we have at our disposal along with the medical education in schools like health class.

Plus, mental health awareness is peak right now. Compared to previous generations who kept PTSD, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, and depression to themselves, now we have more people than ever (especially men) getting the help they need by seeking out therapy and medication through professionals.

We have a wide spread network of information at our finger tips, computers in our pockets, and video games that would blow past ancestors minds.

With that being said. Here is the following of what sucks for current generations:

The young generations have to worry about 401ks swapping out steady stable predictable pensions, cost of living increases as wages stay stagnant (Congress used to raise it every few years to meet the rate of inflation), AI put in everything you consume to the point you don’t know what is real or fake, social media killing the minds of our youth, Insurance Companies conning you out of thousands you paid for an emergency, companies that only care about pleasing shareholders and selling you a less quality product at an inflated price point, low quality high priced clothing, broken housing market, and environmental concerns, AI surveillance, gun violence, political violence, etc.

We talking about the generation that could afford a house, kids, and multiple cars on one income versus the generation that can't afford to move out of their parent's house?

I mean if we are... I think the "luck" factor is slowly turning to shit since that generation enjoyed placing all of it's eggs in the idea that population would continually rise and provide money for them to live off of.

I guess technology could be easing the pain or at least distracting from it (look at the young adults and kids glued to their phones [handheld computers]), but I think there's going to be some hell to pay when they can't even afford the technology to distract themselves with.

Noooooo. It sucks and it really bothers me and I am not the younger generation anymore. You all have a lot more to contend with, and I highly recommend taking financial classes and learn how to save starting... right now. Prices are out of control and wages are insanely not in check with cost of living.

All I can say is challenge the status quo, be the best at everything you do, and stand out as a positive, reliable, and harder working than your peers, and you'll be ok. I am rooting and believe in the young generation!

I am doing everything I can do in my industry to help make a difference for the newest people entering the workforce.

Luckier in what way? Younger people are certainly more affluent than in the past. A LOT more affluent. Each of the last 6-7 generations is more affluent than the one before. Young people today have all kinds of luxuries that didn't even exist in the past.

They grow up far richer. They live in much bigger houses and apartments - almost twice the space per person. They drive far better and safer cars. They can watch any movie or listen to any music with a couple clicks. They have air conditioning at home and at school. They walk around with extremely powerful computers that fit in their pockets and call them "phones".

If you want to call being spoiled a bad thing, then they are unlucky. If that's the case, then all they have to do to improve their luck is throw away all the luxurious things they have.

Luck has nothing to do with it.

Boomers happened to be born into the peak of the US economy after the New Deal of the 1930's and the historic post WWII middle class expansion. The 1950's - 1980's were the best that income inequality has ever been in the USA. But from the 1980's - 2025, the 1% have been waging economic class warfare against the middle class. Current generations are adrift in a gig economy with a government safety net that is being systematically dismantled by the 1% via a government they have bought at the state and federal level. We are back to a pre 1930's "Robber Baron" era economy that isn't working for 99% of citizens.

Yes and no, easier access to ANYTHING, easier to travel, build a business, learn skills, you have the world education at your finger tips if you have Internet, every song ever recorded can be played whenever you like, every movie can be watched, chatgpt can write professional diet and training programs to be in top shape...

Real estate and rent are hell of expensive in big cities. So it's a toss up... Depending really on where you live and are we using the technology to better ourselves, or to scroll Instagram.

Economically, absolutely not. Culturally, absolutely not. I feel awful for Gen Alpha and beyond.

They are raised by idiotic parents who think an iPad is a better parent than they are and are now exposed to malicious social media algorithms (often called "ElsaGate") where the algorithm shows these kids more and more messed up things because that kind of content feeds the never ending cycle.

They are also primarily raised by millennials who swallowed ideologies that have historically proven to be devastating such as "the redistribution of wealth" or that "gender is a social construct" and many more. Now the economy is a mess, and I think it by design to make authoritarian control of the economy seem more attractive.

No, not at all. Fascism is rising again, the rule of law is being destroyed, and the world is on the brink of a new world war. My generation grew up knowing the dangers of this behaviour, but it's being forgotten, swamped by endless lies and the media under the control of robber barons.

Definitly not. Lot of new gens are depressed because they live more on their cellphones then having real life contacts. In the past when their where no cellphones yet, you had to go out to meet people of you wanted to socialize. Thats pretty much gone now
