Everyone is kissing Trump’s ass in the Middle East for bringing a halt to the war in Gaza. Which by the way Hamas is using now to round out people and publicly executing them. He solved other decades long wars as well in the past few months. Everyone would still be killing and dying with Sleepy Joe or what’s-her-name in the Oval Office.

It's the same as telling your neighbors across the street to stop fighting with each other because the noise is killing your kids lemonade stand business. THAT is the ONLY thing Trump cares about, and that's NOT worthy of a Nobel prize. I also agree that Obama receiving the prize was an overreach, but no way in this universe should Trump even be under consideration.
One last point: You shouldn't EXPECT a Peace Prize when you financially support via aid and weaponry, the annihilation, incineration, obliteration and genocide of a group of people. When your administration posts vile AI videos of turning Gaza into a "Trump resort" while people are being bombed and starved, you shouldn't expect a Peace Prize - you should expect to be ridiculed.

@katiesmuff I think he has solved a lot actually. The most recent point would be the cessation of hostilities in Gaza. While marked as a great breakthrough by many it is of course a pause in an endless series of hostilities and suffering. But at least it is a pause, perhaps it could last years as that would be nice.

For what? Claiming to have done things? Of course not. Trump is one of the major causes of turmoil in the world right now. And the method? Unprecedented shamelessness and stupidity. No one saw it coming.
To be fair, a younger me was also upset with Obama getting the peace prize. First, because every politican should be doing that regardless and a peace prize should not be political, but mostly because it was given before he even did anything.
Now I get the logic. Tell someone they will be a great force for peace and they will strive to fit the mold. But it still cheapens the prize.
Obama funded ISIS and then sent the military to participate in fighting them.
Destroyed countless homes abroad using missiles funded by countless homes in the states who could barely afford to get by
If there was a Nobel “War” prize he’d be the ideal candidate.

First off, President Trump wasn’t even in the running for a peace prize. So it’s awesome how Maria, the winner of the prize, credited President Trump for his efforts on their shared cause.

True peace is seen through the thankfulness of those affected by said peace and from what I’ve heard, President Trump is receiving major praise from both Israel and Palestine.
