+1 yEx-squeeze me, did you say "peace in the Middle East"? PEACE in the Middle East? The only thing Trump deserves is to win an orange jumpsuit to match his hair.

UPDATE ON THE SITUATION – This is the worst confrontation between the Jewish state and armed organizations in Gaza since the eleven-day war in May 2021, which left 260 dead on the Palestinian side.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip and Israel continued their exchange of fire early on Saturday, the worst outbreak of violence between the two enemies since a blitzkrieg last year.At 8:30 a. m. local time (0530 GMT), as rocket warnings continued to sound in Israeli towns adjacent to the blockaded Palestinian territory, Gaza City was paralyzed, streets deserted and shops closed, according to a reporter from AFP on the spot.
Israel relaunches colonization, inflaming tensions
The Israeli army continued until dawn its strikes across the enclave which targeted sites belonging to the Islamic Jihad, in particular of manufacture of weapons, according to it.
Fifteen fighters were killed in the raids that began Friday afternoon, the army said, while Gaza authorities reported 10 dead, including a five-year-old girl, and 79 injured.
Yeah, that sounds like peace to me, huh? And that's just ONE incident.

@msc545 His question is quite meaningful and you should be able to list SOMETHING right off the bat.
Trump was President despite the fact that he was the first president in 40 years not to start a new war, and instead ended wars. He still did a lot damaged just like every other president of the last 80+ years. - +1 y
@msc545 You said Trump caused too much other damage to get a noble peace prise. There must be a list of other damage Trump did that your thinking of any one item you could list to reinforce your point.
I may agree even thou trump is the first president not to start any new wars in 40 years I may agree he certainly partakes in existing wars he was by no means a pacifist, he simply didn't see any such war as in the interest of theses united States to start.
But at the same time his predecessor started many wars such as Syria yet he did win a noble peace price.
As if it wasn't obvious enough that said prise had little if nothing to do with peace, and was instead merely a political political I like you statement by the noble committee.
If that is the case Trump was as entitled to it as any other man, if they are grading on a curve trump deserved it more than Obama for having managed to avoid starting any new wars.

Why he should? The very man that will have to testify about his role in the capitol attack.
- +1 y
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 We don't have any evidence of that yet. All we have is some deleted tweet that no one will see. Even at his speech he said to peacefully make their voices heard, not to attack it.
I'm sorry but I am not buying it unless I see actual evidence that he started it. - +1 y
Did you heard his speech and the speech the other two gave before him? To a crowd that had been doing violent acts during the campaign?
No they didn't light the fire, they just put the logs in place and lit the match. - +1 y
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 At the rally the day of the so called insurrection?
- +1 y
Yes.
- +1 y
By the way, "so called"?
Didn't Trump said, in public for everyone to hear, for Pence to no go through with the democratic process. Don't remember what it was, but I recall that it was an action that the vice president had to do to pass power and Trump told him to not do it.
Pence didn't listen to him. Result? People that went for the capitol had dummies with Pence face hanged.
He asked Pence to do an insurrection act live. What else do you want? - +1 y
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 Sure, Trump didn't want Pence to go through the process because there were still a bunch of unanswered questions he had about the election results. That still doesn't mean he wanted a riot to happen.
Yes I'm calling it a riot because that was all it was. Not a single shot was fired during that whole thing except for the bullet that killed Babbit. If this was a legit insurrection, you'd think the people involved would have a lot more tact and had full firepower at their disposal.
Why would Trump ask Pence to invoke the insurrection act upon a group of angry people he supposedly sent? Do you even know what the Act does? - +1 y
The simple fact that Trump told Pence to stop the process is already an attack on democracy.
A riot? It would be if they didn't stormed the place. But they very much did.
There is a good reason they got put to jail after, it was because what they did was illegal.
I didn't even remembered what he had said to Pence, only that he had told him for everyone to see to boycott the process.
I find this surreal. Do you understand what it was? How bias can one be? This is not a sports team. I am on the left and I talk badly about the BLM protests when they began to trash everything. It was savagery.
Just like the attack in the capitol was. - +1 y

>The simple fact that Trump told Pence to stop the process is already an attack on democracy.
I think he said that becuase we never got any answers as to the strange things that happened during the election like election turnout being over 100% in many districts and things like that. Most of the courts dismissed those cases based on standing, not merit. The rest of the times was because Trump's lawyers, like Sydney Powell wrote very poorly written documents that was supposed to be presented in the courts.
> It would be if they didn't stormed the place. But they very much did.
There is footage of cops letting them in, electronic doors being unlocked, video evidence that suggested that Nancy Pelosi knew they were coming hours before it happened with her daughter filming her, AOC lied about what time the "insurrectionists" came by and recently questioned whether it was an inside job after seeing the footage of the cops letting them in, I heard a while back that Trump requested the national guard to protect the capitol days before it happened, Ray Epps was supposedly found there waving people in.
It sounds like conspiracy stuff but regardless I also think the events that happened on January 6th was bad. I hope those who damaged property and assaulted people got punished by the merits of the crime they committed. - +1 y
It really doesn't matter why he did it. What matters is that he did.
Also, all the process he put to court for fraude gave in absolutely nothing.
The women that was killed by a cop, was it because the cop was feeling safe? The cop just pointed a gun at her for no reason? Or because he was feeling afraid for his safety?
Let's remind ourselves that a cop got beaten and died the next day.
But even if the cops let them in with a red carpet, that would just mean the cops were in on it. It was still an attack on democracy. - +1 y
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 We don't know that yet. Literally all we got from the hearings is that Trump pulled some maneuver that somehow allowed him to grab the wheel of a limousine from the back seat. Even if that was true it doesn't prove shit.
- +1 y
I just hope that never happens again. Brasil is about to have elections. My brother county. And the current president is a Trump like character who will probably do some stunt like this if he loses.
- +1 y
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 We don't even know if the guy he is supposedly inspired by did it. Part of me thinks it's all a hoax because if he did, they would have made him ineligible to run the first time. Now that he is out of office, they are still refusing to do a criminal trial. They are really dragging their feet when it comes to arresting this guy.
