Do you support Trump demolishing East Wing of the White House to build a ballroom?

President Donald Trump’s move to demolish part of the White House to make way for a $250 million ballroom is eliciting outrage and calls for more oversight before any further changes are made.

The president previously said that his $250m (£186m) White House ballroom addition would be "near" the existing structure but would not change it.

"It won't interfere with the current building. It won't be. It'll be near it but not touching it - and pays total respect to the existing building, which I'm the biggest fan of," Trump said in July. "It's my favourite place. I love it."

Naturally, Democrats are expressing outrage as if the East Wing is a national treasure. In reality, they look for any reason to condemn Trump.

The East Terrace was actually built in 1902 as a new public entrance for social events and included a coat room and gallery.
The East Wing was constructed to its larger, more permanent size in 1942 to accommodate staff during WWII, provide office space for the First Lady, and conceal the new Presidential Emergency Operations Center (PEOC) bunker below.

I understand that the plan for the new ballroom includes a neo-classical façade that will blend with the capital's architecture. It may even add to the capital's grandeur.

Those in opposition seem to be saying that upgrades and renovations to the capital are blasphemous. But, it that's the case, was it blasphemous to build the East Terrace in the first place.

It's called, RENOVATING!! Do you know what that means? Truman nearly gutted the entire building to install a swimming pool!! I had NO IDEA the place was so big until I saw the pictures of the INSIDE of the building with two floors removed and tractors and dump trucks INSIDE.
It's the small eastern-most portion of the far end of the east wing!! From what I hear, hardly anybody even goes there!!
