What do you think about Trump tearing down the east wing of the Whitehorse for a ballroom bigger than the White House?

It’s just too big and looks more like something from Versailles then the White House.

I'm surprised presidents have sole authority to make major changes given both political parties will use the house in the future.

The problem now is even though it's really chavtastic it puts future presidents in. the awkward spot of tearing down such an expensive build.

Me too, I'm against it. He's just doing it to feed his above average ego! Even if it was funded by donations, that's still a massive amount of money that could be put to better use. If he was president for life and would use it, I might justify it, but he's building it for others to use.
