Imagine what happened if a democratic president flipped this and did it only for blue sates. How about the democratic president just doesn't use the money that blue states pay to the government to help the red states that need it? How many states do you think will fail without governmental assistance? Of course, we don't have to worry about this now, because none of the blue states need the government to stay solvent.

Twali, it’s a known fact that California, the hub of our economy in this country, helps all the red states. Most of the money it hands out goes to the red states for assistance. I’m sure if Gov Newsom decided not to help out those states that voted for Trump, they would all fall down flat on their faces. The incredible thing is— those are all suffering now, and many still support the orange orangutan. It’s exactly as you say, only it’s already true.

CA, NY, and TX are the only states I know of that create enough revenue internally that they could survive as a separate country. FL makes a lot, but tourism is a large part, and it'll decrease if it becomes a separate nation. Of the 3, TX is the only red state.

I think NJ, with all its industries and also tourism revenues (many love the shore there and thousands flock to Cape May in summer) would be able to stand alone and nt have to depend on California or Florida. I would worry about Florida because all it has is tourism (and its crops) as well as a nutty governor. Vermont, New Hampshire for its granite, and Massachusetts also would do nicely on their own. Especially Massachusetts.

California isn’t failing. It probably gives money to the state you’re in. Without it, your state would fall. New York Is great as far as I know. My relatives live there. Fact: California has the strongest economy in the entire nation.
