Most of those obese people come from the lower classes. Maybe donald trump can do them a favor by cutting how many calories they are getting from these snap benefits

7 moRFK is working on restructuring the benefits so that junk food is no longer covered. That’s been in the works for a while now.
Drumpf doesn’t have the authority to manage SNAP benefits firsthand. Payments were frozen because the democrats are holding the US economy hostage over benefits for illegal immigrants. That moron judge that ordered Drumpf to pay doesn’t know the first thing about how that particular entitlement program functions or fails to.
In a perfect world, the Drumpf administration will have culled the fraud and abuse from the program and RFK will have implemented the updated list of eligible foods by the time the benefit payments resume. It would be gloriously ironic for the impoverished to start outliving the rest of us because they can’t consume the same processed food substitutes that so many of us can’t otherwise give up. 7 moNo. Obesity rates are high because cheap food is less expensive. Most of the people on SNAP are hardworking people that just can't make ends meet. So many kids rely on it for their only meals. Food needs to be cheap. There is no reason it can't be here in America. You want the Government to do some good? subsidize food. Make meals free to children. My boys are grown, and thankfully, they never had to go without food in their stomach and a roof over their head. But many kids eat once a day or sometimes not every day. REPUBLICAN"S CAUSE THAT... PERIOD.
Why do the poorest states in the nation all vote for Republican's that keep them poor? Sad sad world out there.00 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)7 moNo healthier food is more expensive, it takes time and money.(Organic not that bioengineered produce that "looks better")
The unhealthy food is going up too but it's easier to make, buy, eat, pack to go. People are going to have to get another job. More people are going to have less time for meal prep.
Natural food goes bad quicker they're going to go with more preservatives. All this is bad for your body and lead to more obesity.04 Reply
Asker7 mowouldn't some fasting actually lower the obesity epidemic in our country?
Opinion Owner7 moNo you're not fasting because you want to fast you're fasting because you can't eat. You're mentally putting yourself in survival mode. That means it's going to try to keep and store the fat you have as long as possible. Now you're adding unhealthy food, they're not getting vitamins, nutrients, or energy.
It's just going to cause a cycle and more health problems.
I don't know if you have ever seen the African kids but they have bloated stomach and skinny boned arms/legs.
That's because they're getting less than the bare minimum and the body's trying to keep the crucial organs running, so it's taking everything from the extremities and stabilizing it in the center. Mental health affects physical health. They're not fasting, they're starving and waiting for dinner because that's all they can afford to eat.
Asker6 mofat people HAVE the fat reserves to stay without food for a while. Maybe if you care less about food, you wouldn't have so many fat people in your country. America is one of the fattest countries in the nation. you're fat because you're eating too much
Opinion Owner6 moIt's like you didn't read what I said 😒

7 moNo, cutting snap would only make things worse as it would result in people buying more unhealthy, ultra processed foods which often times is cheaper then healthier options. To reduce obesity rates, you need the exact opposite of SNAP cuts, along with elimination of certain foods that can be purchased with SNAP. Ultra-processed foods while mostly unhealthy, is often cheaper then healthier options, so when you have a limited amount of funds available for food, your going to do everything you can to make those funds stretch, and that includes buying ultra processed foods. By increasing SNAP benefits and eliminating certain unhealthy foods, you give people the means and incentives to eat healthier foods.

7 moDamn right... I say trim back that SNAP crap. someone local said they were buying candy with SNAP. A lot of what they get is garbage... Americans are famous for making garbage food.
It's a small start, we need to change our diets and remove some junk from our foods. And we leave all this up to one man to fix it all? It's fixable by your choices... stop buying this garbage, remove it from yoru communities.
00 Reply 1.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Probably not. Americans have gotten worse and worse off financially and rather than slim up they have resorted to more and more unhealthy diets and lifestyles. From my point of view it looks like being fit and thin is more of a privilege than the other way around. Bad food is cheap to get and easy to get which makes it very convenient when you need to spend more and more of your time and energy just trying to survive.
00 ReplyIt is kind of funny how all the women that are threatening to rob grocery stores on tik tok are like 350 LB with triple chins and a pack of hot dogs on the back of their neck. They could survive a couple months just on water. They have that many calories in reserve just hanging around their waste line. Not to mention they probably have stocked pantries at home from all the free shit they already got. Those beach balls could probably make it half a year without food stamps.
00 ReplyNo he is not cutting SNAP benefits. Because of the Shumer shut down he has said the benefits will be half of what people were normally getting but this is because Shumer will not let the Democrats sing the clean CR.

m 7 moNo. The American obesity epidemic is caused by low food standards for processed foods, junkfood at every corner and widespread incompetence with regard to healthy home-cooked meals. Taking food stamps away will solve none of these problems.

No. Hard hard no.
Look at hunting and substances lifestyle. You take day's tracking and hunting an animal. Your hunger nessesity is stable the entire time.
This is where the glp1 injection comes to play. It resets where you had enough food vs before being natural and hits being full an hour after your over stuffed and that's the benchmark of enough food.

Something like 60% of SNAP is for kids, and the elderly.

7 moWe have an obesity problem because people are lazy and rather eat junk food which tastes better. Not to mention the fact that in our country there’s a fast food restaurant on almost every street corner

7 mohighly doubt it. though its not Trump that's trying to cut it, its the Democrats that prefer given it to the illegals instead of the people who pay for it with their own tax money
