Chuck Schumer has lectured in the past how evil it is to shut the government down to use this as a political tool. Now that same guy is leading the charge to keep the government shut down and keep the kids hungry.
Government shut downs are complete bullshit. If the Republicans and Democrats can’t come up with a budget, they need to step down and let someone else give it a try. But to use this pathetic shutdown tool because you can’t do your job, is a disgrace. It’s not the government workers and the children’s fault. These losers can’t do their job.
Will the Democrats vote for the 14th time today to not feed the hungry children?

Chuck the Schmuck Schumer and his cronies are the ones causing the problem. They have previously voted for the same clean bill to pass it before Trump took office 13 times, and now they have voted it down 15 times, the same clean bill they voted for before the shutdown. So, who is not feeding the needy?
back in 2009 I told people to start growing fruit trees, gardens, and store up some food. That was good advice but 15 years early due to the printing machine. We only had like 11T debt then, it's trippled since then.
Govt has had an out of balance budget for a long long time to the tune of 38 trillion going up up. They've been failing to do their job long time, bailing out the rich, and Americans have been failing to be responsible with the resources they have as they get sucked into a sick system... to the tune of millions of people needing "food" aide and subsidized health care... by way of the printing press. It's all bound to go wrong at some point and the point is now, yea... it's exciting hugh?
I can only hope we fix it, but that is going to be painful as hell as the can was kicked down the road long ago.
Your guess as good as mine as to what the one side does. My guess is no... they do everything in their power to crash the system and blame it on the other guy, it's the only play they have left.
So people on SNAP better start growing gardens, talking to their local chicken farmers for labor swaps, changing their diets. The rest of us too..
It's is all about the people who run the government and there agenda for the American people this is there way of taking more control Of all of us. If your not putting ever penny you have in to the stock market. But word to the wise be careful There are people that have done good. That want to do better. They want your money to.

It doesn't matter if you think that there are 2 activities because there's nothey are read by the name. People who run the country they are together. In this we have been bought and sold. They are elected officials have been bought and sold. That's why you haven't heard anything from them about this stuff. They have no say anymore
The US government is shut down because the democrats want to keep some degree of medical aid. Republicans want to remove it.
Trump has officially said he is happy having it shutdown because he thinks people won't blame him for failing to do his job and that they can spin it as being the Democrats fault.
For the record Trump now on his own has more days of Government shutdown under his belt than all the other 46 presidencies together. If that does not tell you who is at fault you're lying to yourself.

Wrong. Don’t make excuses for the Democrats. They could open the government today and feed the kids.
Trump and co literally refuses to meet them to discuss opening it and are trying to weaponize starving people.
The Trump goverment's strategy is, literally, that democrats will be more kind and let them rob sick people of help in order to stop them robbing starving people of food.
It can not be much clearer. It is also the ruling government's task to do this.
And if that wasn't enough the supreme court literally ordered Trump and co to immedieately release the snap benefits.
So we have reality. Statements from themselves and a supreme court ruling all saying very clearly what is happening.
What more evidence do you need than a clear timeline, admissiok from Trump and a supreme court ruling forcing Trump to stop starving people?
I know politics is heavily tied to people's identity in the US but wake up. This isn't some mysterious he said she said. We have a literal court ruling about it. From judges appointed by Trump no less!
Yes they will because the democrats SUCK! and they don’t care about Americans. If the democrats can’t take care of their illegals (future voters) they will be happy to let American children starve.
Probably not, they don't give a damm even if its the exact same budget they approved twice before. In my opinion though they should allow the budget to give aid to the illegal migrants. Its just a good idea to do that. Just let them have it, reopen the rest. Then track everyone using that budget, deport them as quick and humane as you can and if you do that swift enough you can divert the rest of that budget.

I agree and its not really working because people see trough it the moment they are explained that the democrats are voting against a continuation of the same budget that was originally put forth by them during the biden admin.
Under our Westminster Governmental System, the party which tries to lock down the govenment would need to call a confidence election and must win it to continue in power. Your Governmental chicken game is silly, selfish and harmful to the less fortunate, about whom the pols in BOTH parties care not a jot or a tittle.
I’m using examples to back up the point I’m making. That being that both sides claim to be pro kids when there are instances where they don’t give two shits about kids, only when it’s politically convenient
I gave you an answer… democrats are using kids as a political tool. I also added that republicans do the same bs. Point being that our entire government is essentially the same, like comparing a red 2025 chevy silverado to a blue 2025 chevy silverado. Same exact truck, just a different color.
We’re talking about the same political party that intentionally shut down everything, forced people to stay away from friends and family all for a bs virus that didn’t even kill half the people that got infected by it.
It should not surprise anyone that they’re going to do the least favorable thing to paint the current president as a bad person and will point the finger and blame him and the other party as to why things are fucked up. And hope that people are too stupid to forget that they voted in favor of said policy that is negatively affecting Americans
And the GOP knows exactly what they need to do to reopen it. Ensure than poor American CITIZENS don't have to pay several thousand more for health insurance. That's the ONLY thing the democrats want added in. Because they know if it isn't the GOP won't even be willing to talk about it, and the subsides will expire.
It depends on the bill presented. I would guess no, because the GOP likes keeping it closed, remember they know what they need to do to open it. This prevents the Epstein files from being released and allows Trump and his ass kissers to shred The Constitution with impunity.
They’re not boating on either Bill? They’re voting on a continuing resolution. That means a truce where no side wins. It means government workers could still get their paychecks like they deserve and kids could eat. But you are right, the Democrats will vote no to kids eating today.
Actually, to get all federal workers paid, that requires the government to reopen. As for SNAP, legally it has to be funded even during a shutdown. Pretty simple. The fact that the Trump administration has no idea how to do it is despicable.
I know, and until the GOP wants to help Americans afford healthcare, they won't get the votes necessary to reopen the government. It's not some vague or nebulous thing that the democrats want. Everyone knows exactly what they want. Even GOP lawmakers are clear about what the democrats want. The best the GOP has come up with is a vague promise that it will be discussed after the government is reopened. As they haven't ever tried to talk about it before, unless dragged there kicking and screaming, it's easy to see why the democrats aren't accepting that.
I realize that’s what they think. That was their plan all along and they’ve said it. They said hungry kids are just leverage to get what they want. And what they want is to stay in the power. Power is all they believe in.
If it's to help more, or help all in the long run, yes. Since it will, I support it. I suppose since you don't want the lower costs, you're willing pay the difference for all those who have to pay more.
I think the Republicans and Democrats can get together and negotiate a budget without punishing hungry kids. But you don’t care about hunger kids you just want what you want.
I don’t care what anybody wants, you don’t shut it down if you don’t get your way. Chuck Schumer said the exact same thing and Barack Obama Obama said the exact same thing they said you can’t shut things down that’s horrible.
