He has done all of the above and even more. He is a mentally ill criminal who should never have been allowed to take office. Yet because he fooled a significant number of people, he got elected, and now we are stuck with him for a while. It is time we started considering the 25th Amendment very seriously because I don't think this country is going to survive another three years of this guy. I don't see that we are in any way obligated to allow him to continue doing what he has been doing without taking some action against him. I am in no hurry to have Vance as president, but at this point, almost anybody would be better than Trump and a lot safer.

two democrat states electing democrats is not an earth shattering event. Especially when you consider why these states are so democrat. High tax states have been bleeding citizens for the last 5 years. These peopel are fleeing New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, California to more citizen friendly states like Florida. These are mostly the high earners that are looking for lower taxes and more freedom. The people that are left are the welfsre recipients and low earners that do not pay taxes anyway. They overwhelmingly vote for democrsts. Virginia has a majority of government employees that traditionally vote for democrats.
That being said, it should be a wakeup call for Presdient Trump and the Republicans. Instead of travelling around the world stopping wars and making trade deals he should be concentrating on problems in the US like the economy. We have not heard anything from DOGE. Trump should have appointed a DOGE cazr arter Elon Musk left. They never investigsted the Pentagon which is loaded with waste.
It is nice to end wars but if the Republicans lose in the midterms he will not get anything else done for the rest of his administratioin.

It’s highly unlikely that they can be flipped given the percentages at which the two major parties have been polling there for at least a generation. It wouldn’t be unreasonable to stop calling it a swing state altogether.

Democrats won everything that they were expected to win. There was no shift in momentum.
The only shocking thing to me was Jay Jones getting elected. I had hoped there’d be enough reasonable democrats left to stop a man from taking office who openly idealized the murder of his political opponents’ children and publicly suggested he’d k*ll republicans himself. I clearly misjudged them. The democrat party i grew up with is lost completely, and it’s a damn shame.
