Trump doesn't care because he's not planning to hold any future elections. Instead, he intends to simply declare martial law, cancel all the elections, and shoot you in the head if you don't like what he's done, just like he did to about 70 people in the Caribbean who were driving in boats, and he did not like that, so he murdered them all.
