The system is working. The system wants you to struggle to pay for things so you'll work harder for less pay. Sure things are tough but they'll be worse if you lose your job and there's a hundred people out there trying to convince your boss they can do it better.

The system wants you to survive not thrive, to be on your knees with begging bowl crying I'll do anything for a few pennies sir.

Isn't it funny how whenever wages stagnate the shareholders always get more money? How executives always give themselves massive pay rises?

I see wages rising. I retired 18 months ago but I get many emails with job offers that pay more than what I made 18 months ago. Yes groceries are more expensive but some items are lower and the rate in which the prices rise is very much lower now.
The cost of housing is expensive but it has been expensive for decades. God only made a finite amount of land and we are running out of it. It is more a function of too many people.
I know that gas is a lot cheaper than it was.

It is not price going up, it is the value of your money going down. The world votes on the value of American dollars by what they will pay for an ounce of gold. Gold has doubled over the last 5 years. They look at our deficit spending and they choose to hold gold instead of dollars.
