I did not know. Not every country has it though. its not an official UN day of remembrance.
That being said maybe it should be. A lot of the issues that are overproportionally faced by men do have their own days. So for example making a mens day for the reason of them being a target of violent crime would be not neccessary because there is special day for various victims of different violent crimes. The same is true for mental health in various fields.
If I rember correctly there was a study that has shown that people are judged harsher if the crime fits to the stereotype the person fit into. Part of That was that men face harsher sentence for violent crimes which Generally are prison sentences.
Women did face harsher sentences for crimes involving treachery and cunning. Maybe I can refind it, it was an interesting read.
So its not always the casa that men are sentenced harsher, but violent crimes are sentenced harsher for men, Other areas of crime not directly.
Is it fair? No! that not what I am saying. It would even help to break a lot of stereotypes.
I don't do nonsense divide and conquer 'celebrations' so those women day or men day can go to trash. But the reason why women are so resentful against men and this men's day is because of their resentment knowing that men are 'winners' if you know what I mean, by biology, men have the greater power, thus able to excel and contribute more for the civilization and for the whole human race than what women can do. More strength, intelligence, speed, being able to beget as many lives to existence by 'spreading their seed' (ugly as it sounds, but theoretically, definitely possible), no period cramps, no pregnancy, no menopause, etc.
I personally do not mind being second gender. The most important thing however is that I am still valuable in one way or another. But women nowadays (they do not want to admit it) prefer being a man because of more natural and biological power. Just because we women are not as great as men, does not mean we are useless. A small thing from a woman can still make a man happy. They do not expect much from us. Even with a smile on our face to greet your husband back from his work will make his day... unfortunately, most modern women are completely off from this. Because they have been trained by feminism and the whole Satanic narrative to rebel against nature.
I didn't hear about it, no. But men do not need a special day like women do. I feel like these kinds of things are competitions with women that men should be far above even if women aren't. As a man I don't want somebody out there feeling sorry for me, rather they should be sorry for how they've treated men. Making myself look like a victim in the hopes of getting pity from others just makes me feel weak and soft.
As for some of your stats:
- Women actually attempt suicided much more often than but survive it more because their methods are not full-proof like mens'.
- Men are both the perpetrators and victims of violent crime at higher rates, so what's our problem? Shouldn't we be changing that?
- But true to men serving more time for the same crime a woman commits. But again, the justice system which was constructed by men and still largely run by men made it this way.
Men hurt their own gender no less than women hurt us.
oh crap, missed it again. I was so busy volunteering, picking up trash in the area, riding dirt bikes with my buddies, talking to my wife, going to church, making dinner, chatting with people, ... I just forgot about it. ugh..

Real men don’t do pity parties
Yeah all these stats suck and it would be nice if we didn’t have to deal with all that but it is what it is
We keep our chin up and move forward
Sorry, I'm numb to these international "____________" fill in the blank day or month. Next.
What does a person do to celebrate men's day? I don't have any men in my life.
Yes, it's clearly not promoted as International Women's Day is. Look, even I didn't know.
Goes to show there's still no equality until men's and women's day's are each given equal promotion in the press. Equally.
It is somewhat ironic that you are complaining about people not knowing this day and you didn't.
Yeah. Coincides with international parents day...
Actually it was 1st time in my 41 year when women came to wish me Happy International Men's Day. It was nice though :)
Apparently somebody hasn't told you that nobody gives a shit about men except women who take advantage of men for sex and money.
Women attempt suicide more than men. They just fail to succeed as much.
Interesting, yes a quick research confirmed that for me. Its just indirectly linked to gender, the direct differences are the methods chosen. Generally men and women choose different methods. Women tend to go for overdoses while men tend to go for hanging or more direct methods.
So yes women attempted suicides are more compared to that of men. But also failed attempts are much higher by the methods chosen more often by women.
Yes it’s true. I know my facts. Well this is a fact in the country I live in. Women are just less likely to succeed at suicide. Men just succeed more often than women.
Yeah but the death is still 3-4x more likely... Some of it is from the same methods too.. Which is telling..
Guess it just slipped right past me.
I worked to provide for my family.
A meaningless day. Not even worth celebrating.
