I am not a fan of Trump; he is a populist, and his economic results are not really extraordinary. He is far from being one of the great presidents in American history. However, in this case, I support Trump’s plan because it is the most realistic one. It is not perfect, it is not ideal, but it allows a large part of Ukraine to be saved, saves thousands and thousands of lives, and prevents Putin’s Russia from taking control of the entire Ukrainian territory.
So yes, on its side, Ukraine has to give up some territory and accept significant concessions. I understand that from the Ukrainian perspective, this is difficult to accept. But honestly, what other credible alternative is there? We need to take into account the reality of the balance of power, which is unfortunately not in Ukraine’s favor. Continue the war? In the end, the whole of Ukraine risks collapsing, and Russia would move even closer to our borders.
Maybe some points of Trump’s peace plan can be negotiated, but realistically, it needs to be accepted.

The plan is not realistic for several reasons. One of them is that Ukraine cannot accept that plan.
They have no reason to accept it because it is to surrender, and they might as well fight the Russians and be beaten by the Russians to an normal surrender rather than giving an unconditional surrender without a fight.
So no, this is not a realistic plan and it is not a solution. And this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
The United States has no leverage because the United States no longer supports Ukraine. The United States at this point only supports Ukraine by allowing Europe to buy weapons in the United States to give to Ukraine and by providing intelligence information from satellite surveillance. Trump can cut off satellite surveillance, and he can refuse to let Europe buy weapons with a profit making the United States billions of dollars, and refuse this in order to try to force Ukraine into a surrender.
This is not going to happen though. Because all it does is to make Europe have to reinvest in European war production for an independence of the United States military, which Europe needs anyway. So I do not see this as a problem, and I would wish that Donald Trump would refuse Europe and Ukraine all rights instead of continuing the friendship and alliance with the United States which is clearly not to the advantage of Europe.

The peace plan that Trump has proposed is fundamentally unworkable. Even if you accept the exchange of territory for money, which is not acceptable in the first place, there are countless other demands which is completely unacceptable. Things like demanding the official legal language of Ukraine to change to Russian for example or crippling the Ukrainian military which they are next door to a hostile Russia which has already demonstrated that they will break previous signed security guarantees to invade.
This deal reads more like a Russian masturbation erotica rather than anything that even approaches a serious deal. It is completely unworkable.
The U. S./NATO/EU efforts to destroy Russia have failed miserably. I'm happy for the ethnic Russians and Russian-speaking people in eastern Ukraine and Crimea who have been rescued by Russia. I'm glad that Zelenskyy and the Nazis to started this finally have no other choice than to sue for peace. Ceding Ukrainian territory to Russia is not going to be accepted by Zelenskyy, at least not without a lot of negotiation. It's only been 35 years since Ukraine was part of the USSR, so maybe it's possible to give some of Ukraine's territory back to Russia. I read last night that Russia is selling it's gold reserves to continue to fund the war in Ukraine. Of course Putin would take this deal. It gives Trump what he wants which is political victory. He can say he ended the war. N/m the Russia gets to keep part of Ukraine. And it allows Putin a chance to rebuild, retool and relaunch the war when it suits him, and he will! Because you've set that precedence that Putin can take what he wants when he wants. Actually Obama allowed that in 2014 when Putin invaded Crimea. Because Ukraine is not a member of NATO and therefore not worth directly defending.
A better deal would be for Russia to withdraw from Ukraine in exchange for Ukraine to never become a member if NATO. That was Putin's original deal. It never led to a resolution though because that's really not what Putin wants.

What's the plan, Ukraine surrenders unconditionally and Russia takes half their country and natural resources? Doesn't sound like much of a plan for Ukraine. And Europe / NATO is watching to see if they need to write off the US as a military ally. Right now it looks like the answer is yes.

It depends on how much territory is lost. Putin needs to walk away with something. At least President Trump made it so that the US is no longer financing the war. NATO will do that and in fact NATO will purchase most of the weapons from the US. I do not think Zelensky will sign off on this. He is making a ton of money on the war so he is in no hurry to end it as long as somebody wants to pick up the tab.

Point is that this treaty would never be accepted and is basically just a Russian wet dream put to print. It would also most likely not actually lead to peace and after Russia has recovered their strength I expect they would try again since they did not achieve their original goals.
Ukraine's constitution does not allow any territorial changes without a referendum. Giving any part of their sovereign land to Russia is very unpopular and unlikely to pass a vote.

At this point, Ukraine doesn't have much of a choice, continue this failed US/NATO proxy war and risk losing all of their territory or cut their losses and seek peace. Ukraine had a chance at peace long ago with favorable terms, but US/NATAO sabotaged peace negations because peace isn't profitable to defense contractors who are benefiting heavily off of the Ukraine proxy war.

Except that he doesn’t. He has demonstrated a severe lack of understanding about the whole thing, could care less about Ukraine, and has always shown a bias and deference to his boyfriend Putin. He wants a quick resolve, at all costs, cause he’s that kind of superficial asshole. This is the same guy that claims he stopped 10 imaginary wars thus far —The faith you put in him is unfounded. He is not a details kind of guy. He has no attention span. Plus, he’s famously ignorant in general. The best course of action for him, would be to shut up and do nothing.
Why should they do that? Why should they be forced to cede a large portion of their land?
