Yes! I live in America in a blue State. That should tell you why I live with stress on a daily basis.
Last year at this time I lived in perfect peace.
America is changing too fast! Now Trump is opening his mouth about cancelling our food benefits permanently in the Democratic states only.
So seniors citizens and disabled people and babies won't be able to eat!!

I just went through the government shutdown and didn't receive any food assistance and went hungry. Now it's going to be permanent just because I happen to live in a Democrat run state?
I was born and raised in this state and lived here for my entire life except for 13 years of it, then I moved back.

I guess food doesn't matter to a billionaire who eats anything he wants to and never has to worry about feeding his face!! 😔

Yeah and it's really just money that makes it that way for me. One of the things I loved about the movie "The Last Samurai" was that it portrayed old Japanese culture, where the samurai didn't really have money. They were just disciplined and each day, they got up and pursued the thing they were passionate about, developing that skill. They did the necessities, cleaning and cooking, but on their free time they would just do what they love. They did have a financial system, but it was based on koku which was measured by rice volume. One koku was equivalent to 180 L or 330 lbs of rice, which was enough to feed one person for a year. It was a beautiful way of living and more in tune with nature.

My only goal, is to work hard enough to get "fuck you money" then fuck off into off-grid life and never have to deal with all this BS again.

In the last five years -
My wife died
I spent 3 months in a coma
I emigrated for the 3rd time
I had three toes and my right leg below the knee amputated
I'm having to fight for custody of my son because the system is fucked
My mother has developed dementia
I needed to be resuscitated for 4 hours
I've spent 25% of the last 5 years in hospital with life-threatening conditions including kidney failure, liver failure, deep vein thrombosis, Covid - twice - and multiple surgical interventions.

BUT

No, I don't consider my life to be stressful. It's encouraging knowing that the devil is so scared of me!

um... ok, I'm not going to go through the whole rant like on your other question. In fact, I'm actually gonna' be completely honest here.

No. No, my life is not stressful at all. Other than overseeing 9 chickens, a cat, a dog , feeding the squirrels and keeping the house from looking like a total disaster area I pretty much get to sit on my fat, lazy ass all winter and hang out on social media.

These days, YES!!! I can't walk very well most of the time, my legs are leaking smelly fluid by the gallon every day because of edema and Drs. don't have a fucking clue how to deal with it and I STILL can't even use my brand new phone!!! On top of that, the bank wants me to give them money I can no longer afford to give because my stupid aunt mortgaged this house to give more money to scammers and now, I'M stuck paying it back because she's dead!! They might take my house away from me, AGAIN!! 2nd time in 6 years!!!

Problem is I think about the future all the time


I know I’m on a path to success and that makes me somehow “obligated” to do more and more


So it becomes a delicate balance, grounding myself in the present without losing sight of the next step

My life gets stressful when too many things hit at the same time or when I start carrying responsibilities that aren’t mine.
