Do you think " Good Fortune" is a real thing? Or is it simply just a matter of being at the right place, at the right time?

Yes, I think good fortune is a real thing. And yes, I think it is partly chance or being at the right place at the right time. But it's also being able to recognize opportunity. And it's not being afraid to take risks.

• You can do everything right and still fail for reasons you couldn't foresee.
• You can do nothing and experience a windfall like being born into wealth.

But if you work hard to put yourself in a position to succeed, take risks, and are able to recognize opportunity when it presents itself, I believe you can increase your chances of good things happening. So what positions you for success / good fortune?

• Education.
• Work hard to master whatever it is you choose to do or whatever path you find yourself forced into.
• Surround yourself with people who also want to achieve success and avoid the clowns who waste your time. Help them succeed and they will help you.
• Be willing to raise your hand or step forward when others hesitate because the risks are high and the outcome is uncertain.
• Embrace your mistakes and learn from them rather than disowning them. Failure is a tremendous teacher.
• Take responsibility for your failures and share the credit for your success with others who work alongside you.
• Demonstrate integrity, ethics, and good moral character.
• Don't be a doormat for anyone. Ever. There is no "next time".

None of the above guarantees you success in any given instance. But it positions you to be in the right place at the right time more often than random chance would predict.

I think its a vibration. Like that feeling when you know something before you could possibly know. People say that is just subconsciously noticing patterns... but I think there is more to it. Our thoughts and intentions shape the world around us. There is a such thing as right place right time, that can be seen as good fortune. But there is also plenty of times being in the wrong place at the wrong time ends up being good fortune in the future it was just hard to see in the moment if being in the wrong place in what felt like the wrong time. How you see life is good fortune and thats more like a vibration. 😉

I believe "Good Fortune" is very real and that we create it ourselves. And yes, I'm dumping another copy/paste 'cuz they printed what I believe to be true in much clearer , shorter terms than I could , otherwise I would be typing up 3 pages of stuff to say what they did in 4 lines.

... with the right attitude. A girl in a team I had just joined was given a task she thought was beneath her So she immediately slapped in a long service leave notice to show how pissed off she was.

As last in I was given the crap task. But I saw commercial viability in the task and it became my whole career. Make quite a bit of money out of it, got to work in several countries doing that work so far and had a technical ball the whole playing what I see as the best ever computer game.

Good fortune can be looking at it right.

I'm not sure if it is or isn't, but some people seem to be born with wealth, health, supportive families, and have many opportunities in life that get them ahead in life, while others receive the opposite to work with. It's a fact that some people have life on easy mode and some people are playing it on insanity mode.

Well you could say being in the right place is good fortune... however in my life I seem to make my own good fortune through hard work and trying to put myself in the right place with out relying on good fortune.
