It's the only explaination I can think of, for why she isn't doing anything about the scammers, which seem to be part of a much larger criminal netwark, which even involves the police.
She also ran on a strong anti-immigration platform, yet won't even deport the African scammers.

That’s not really a thing anymore, on the federal level. The anti-mafia investigations and prosecutions are too strong. The last openly „connected“ administration was with Giulio Andreotti (prime minister 1989-92). Political corruption on the local level, especially in Sicily, is still a danger, though.
Why isn't she doing anything about the scammers then?
I usually don’t follow foreign law enforcement on a case-by-case level to determine if or what they are doing. But if you‘re referring to deporting people, to do that successfully, you need to have a country to accept them.
It's hard to say. I think many of us had connections with the Mafia even if we didn't want it. Maybe like Nixon, the Bushes, Bill Clinton, Obama and Joe Biden. She's too wishy washy to do anything about her. Maybe somebody owns her or she's afraid of them. Kind of like Mexico's president.
Who knows?
