What streets in NYC should EVERYONE know? Harder still, what NYC neighborhoods?

I would LOVE to hear your guys take / impression on what that street & neighborhood conveys to you. Like what values, reputation, business, stereotypes, etc inhabit / represent that place?

My upbringing was it is effectively a grid system. 1, 2, 3 etc. And then A, B, C etc so your two turns away from any where you want to be.

Then there's the Tracey Morgan accent. I can't find it now but this comedian family was deaf so he watched TV and was good at impersonating accents. So he did a Tracy Morgan sound alike but saying he's a Vietnamese school girl. Can someone help me find that? Please.

I think it was Tracy morgan again going to jail for a long time then going back to Brooklyn thinking it was super hardcore gangster but now now super metrosexual. Which made the marvels civil war moment with spider man and captain America have a different context.

That's the extent of my alaskan knowledge outside Wallstreet being amarican psycho.

So many... where to start?

Inwood? Only part of the city (Manhattan) with real mountain and houses around.

Bed Stuy? Lots of nice brownstones.

Howard Beach? Haven't been there for a long time. Been thinking of visiting.

Whitestone? Flushing? the new city with lots of high rises.

Too many to list/name. I know the city like the back of my hand. Except The Bronx and Staten Island.

Its a the whole world in little pockets, so it varys all over.

Where the Jewish are, is really nice.

Where the Asians are, is really good, but not as classy... cheap.

In jamaica... you want to leave, no place to raise a child

Bronx... makes good bread. otherwise, it's a mess

The upper west side of Manhattan. West 81st Street to be exact.

Everything is within walking distance, a lot of nice dinning and shopping, it's close to central park but most importantly, Jerry and Kramer live there.

Wall street and 5th avenue

Harlem, bay ridge, Brooklyn, queens, Bronx, Williamsburg, Manhattan, Coney island, Staten island, and long island

Downtown Manhattan I would hope like Mulberry Street, which is part of little Italy and not much left of it., and Canal Street

Fifth Avenue,106th Street, which is in Harlem.(Though most Harlemite broads are fugly.)
