What other American city is the most like New York?

I want to get out of New York. I do like the drugs, gangs, migrants, and the homeless people, in the city, and think the city is fun. The problem I have is that the city is still a finance Mecca, and I’m more interested in tech, entertainment, and art. It’s also cold, so the people can have uptight personalities.
