American GFS is calling for 972mb low pressure in about 10 or 11 days, with gale force to possible hurricane force winds offshore. This is pretty strong, as I say anything below 980mb low pressure is pretty sick bad.

I got the alert this morning. i sure am glad I am not up there.

I think the GFS has backed down on this a tad, but it's still pretty strong on the computer modeling. I hope this doesn't cause some sort of catastrophe like the Atmospheric Rivers hitting Washington and Oregon has done.

Just an update. It's only 5 days out now, and computer is still showing a stout storm which is not quite as strong as the original depiction, but 975mb over land is nothing to sneeze at.
