Worst snow storm and severe freeze in 130 years set for Louisiana. What do you think?

Last time this happened was 1895. We are set for 5 to 8 inches of snow widespread with isolated totals of 10 inches.

I totally did not expect to see snow like this in Louisiana in my lifetime.

We get "heavy wet snow" here, so this is the stuff which will give you a heart attack if you try to shovel it.

Man, Chief Meteorologist Jay Grymes just increased the forecast to 8 to 12 inches for the i10 and i12 corridor. This is NUTS. This will be the worst snowfall sincd TAMBORA.

my first thought is, soooo 130 years ago, human's were causing "climate change" just as bad huh? 🤣 My second thought is, that sucks. I'd stay off the roads if possible because when people aren't used to driving in snow/ice they are freaking dangerous.

There has only been two freezes about this cold in my entire lifetime, so people younger than 30 years old are not old enough to remember them. This is freaking long-johns and furnace time in Louisiana, which we definitely haven't' seen in 20 years.
