Have you been impacted by the first major winter storm in the US for 2025?

I mean cold weather happens... it's why I wear jackets and so on.
My worst brushes with cold weather are probably from my BoyScouts days. I got hypothermia and found one of those hand heater things that dry your hands in a outhouse, and that's how I got through the night. Just kept hitting that thing and blowing the hot air down my shirt. It was a long time ago and I don't remember why I didn't just make a fire.
Yes. I've had to burn up both of my remote work days already. The snow was so thick that neither I nor my wife could drive our cars out of the neighborhood. I spent some time last night and this morning shoveling snow and scraping ice on the street.
toronto hasn't gotten a big snow yet. Even though 2024 is the record year for rain, it's been ok. There is a city 2 hours up north got a lot of snow. it's strange that clouds linger only this region when everywhere in North America is clear this year. I would guess there will be lots of snow soon. I see flurries every week and so cloudy don't see the sun in dec.
Nah but we always have bad snow storms where I live. We had 80 inches just a few weeks ago

No. I’ve been impacted since 2017 and still dealing with it.
you know when it’s bad, when there’s power outages and pipes are frozen. Along with roads and stores being closed because of the severe weather.
Wait, you've been snowed in since 2017?
How have you not starved to death?
Yes. I live near Saint Louis MO and it has affected us slightly. Annoying because of some personal issues, but definitely not as bad as the countless nor'easters and blizzards I experienced in the northeast for decades.
i flew right under it last night, if i'd had to go to New York i would have had to go through it
Oh noo, that would be very unfortunately if somebody would shoot Donald. Of course JDV as vice president will be very unhappy when Donald changes his existence status...
Nope, just another day. Its honestly a very light snowing, I'm still used to 1990s winters where every snow season was 4 to 8 feet of the stuff. The light dustings we get nowadays are actually quite dissapointing.
Here is Southeast US, we're not getting snow, but it's much colder than normal (below freezing temps overnight) and very windy.
Not at all I am loving it! Cozied up by the fire with a sweet little prostitute, my bottle of tequila and an eight ball of cocaine. Keep the storms coming!
We've had a few snow falls and it means I can't ride my bike to work. So yeah lack of freedom and commuter traffic in a car isn't the same.
Nope. Live in the south though it may snow on Saturday which is pretty cool for the south.
Not really. We got hammered and driving was impossible on Sunday, pretty bad on Monday (my mom nearly got stuck), but we kept power. We haven't tried driving today, but the streets look marginally better (probably still coated in ice though).
Not at all. One night the low was 31 degrees.
Other than being cold because I have no furnace, not yet but, we're supposed to be getting 3" to 6", tonight.
Totally. It's all the way down to 70 today.
The northeast didn't get much. Most of it was south of here.
Technically yes but it was rather disappointing. I was hoping for more snow
No because I live in California where it only snows in the mountains during winter. However the rest of the yr is warm &
sunny
The areas where I live and go to college were, but I’m on vacation in Florida
I got 14inches of snow and about 3/4 inches of ice and sleet.
No. In fact, my Windsor/Detroit area has gotten less than half the normal seasonal snow to this point.
No, we’ve had a very dry winter which is disappointing.
Not yet I'm hearing they're calling for it next week. I'm wondering if I should call out?
Yes but luckily I'm in the hospital in out of the mess
We just have a light dusting
Nope. Not in Toronto.
Nope, it missed me this time.
Nope. Won't hit us until Wednesday
No unless stocks markets lol 😆😔 🤑💰 💸💵
Only a little bit of snow but it’s really cold out
Yes, I didn't have to go to work yesterday.
Not at all, I live in Southern California
