Over the pandemic I opened a card, maxed it out and didn't make one payment because my credit was a 720 and I wanted to see what would happen.

My score dropped 50 maybe points, the biggest loan I could take out dropped by a few percentage points (as best as I could tell) and I had it fixed in 2-3 months from the time the collections showed up on my credit dashboard thing.

Honestly, if you have good credit it's pretty surprising what you can get away with.

When my dad calls chase to dispute a charge on his venture card they don't even ask questions. They just apologize that he even had to call them in the first place.

Not when you go over the amount and need to pay back more on top of this. I've heard credit cards are a very dicey game and shouldn't be used for reckless spending.
