Maduro was widely considered to be leading an authoritarian government characterized by electoral fraud, human rights abuses, corruption, and severe economic hardship. This sounds a lot like the "George Floyd was a bad man" or "they were transporting drugs" defence.
El Salvador also tortures people, but Trump sent people there to their most notorious prison without due process.
Trump pardoned the former president of Honduras, who was convicted of drug trafficking.
Trump said he expected to meet Bolsonaro in America, when he'd been convicted of attempting a coup in Brazil (instead he went to prison, it's nice to see some countries can do the right thing).
Oh, and those Venezuelans fled in large part to the US. Trump revoked their temporary protected status.
If it's open season on country's leaders (even if they're not properly elected), why shouldn't Venezuela assassinate Trump?
My Venezuelan neighbours who fled Venezuela 10 years haven't stopped celebrating.

The difference is that the Venezuelans wanted this man removed.
In Afghanistan the people largely supported the taliban and the invasion of Afghanistan was more about going after alqueda and punishing those involved in 9/11.
The Arab spring and supporting regime change in Syria led to to rise of ISIS where after being armed and trained by the US the rebels did a 90° turn to the east and instead of attacking Assad they invaded iraq.
Regime change in Libya was related to the Arab Spring which was throwing out corrupt despot regimes all over north Africa and elsewhere. Gaddafi was losing control thats why it happened in Libya.
Its very hard comparing Islamic countries to south American because for instance 9/11 can be traced right back to the gulf war, with "infedel" western armies and bases in Islamic countries being the driving force.

Aside from Greenland and Canada being the only countries in the Americas that never had a war of independence and still having European heads of state (apart from some Caribbean countries maybe) you have all these central and south American countries that despite having their wars of independence around the same time as the United States and having large amounts of resources and populations from immigration haven't developed as maybe they could have or should in a couple of hundred years with massive economic problems. there's a reason for that which is why they all have the same problems with controlling regimes whether they be left or right.

Well the idea is that since we're not backed by gold anymore, we effectively became backed by the three interconnected ideas:
First, oil will be sold in usd. If it's not sold in usd... All of a sudden there's going to be weapons of mass destruction somewhere in your country, or maybe we're going to suddenly start giving a shit about international laws you're breaking. Making pillar two, military might of the US. On the surface we are "the world's police" the same way trump went to Venezuela for fetenyl as if we hadn't just spent the last two years reporting on it coming in through the Mexican border.
The third pillar is the most important one. Oil being bought in usd has a significance that is not immediately obvious to most people.
When a country buys millions or billions of dollars in oil, you don't just St end money to a bank that converts the currency for you, you have to obtain massive amounts of that currency and as you might imagine, this creates a bunch of structural ramifications for that local economy.
To make a long story short, even if they don't wilfully partake in our centralized banking system, they still effectively become part of it in a direct way.
Since everyone needs large quantities of oil, everyone has usd and it structurally becomes the world currency.
This system was ingeniously created and carefully balanced as a way to essentially default on our debt from the gold era by redifining what gives money value.
It doesn't matter. The USD is going to collapse in a few years anyway, due to overspending by both political parties. They're going to stop minting nickels, dimes, and quarters pretty soon too when the dollar inflates a bit more.
